Firefly 2 Tips and Tricks | 9 Insanely Useful Hacks For EPIC Sessions

    By Drake Equation | February 19 2019

The Firefly 2 is one badass vaporizer. But it can be tricky to get the hang of initially. Not for you though… because you have these EPIC 10 Firefly 2 tips and tricks

Firefly 2 Tips and Tricks | A Quick Guide For New Users

    Firefly 2 Tips and Tricks

    1) Pack The Bowl Properly

The Firefly 2 is a convection vaporizer. This means you need to ensure you pack the bowl correctly. Normally, this means not over packing. But here, more is better.

    How To Use Firefly 2

You want to pack the bowl as tightly as possible. Try to make sure it is flush with the top lip of the oven. Once you’ve done this, clear away any excess materials from the device and replace the front panel.

    2) Let It Heat-Up Once, Then Do It Again

Not getting any vapor from the Firefly 2?

Here’s a little tip: hold the buttons so that it heats up, let it run for 10 seconds, stop, now do it again. Once it’s heated a second time, starting taking a draw – slowly and deeply.

    Exhale. Boom, you got vapor!

    3) Start Low, End HIGH (Pun Intended)

You don’t want to just set the heating controls of the Firefly 2 and leave them. Instead, you want to start at a low setting when you first install a new bowl. Then, once you’re about halfway through, up it to medium.

    Firefly 2

Lastly, when your bowl is nearing the end of its life, whack it up to full power and blitz the remaining materials. Doing this ensures you vaporize all the active components in your weed properly, rather than just burning them all off in one fell swoop.

    4) Don’t Grind Your Weed Too Much

This one is SUPER important. The first time I used the Firefly 2 we ground up the weed way to fine (we used a coffee bean grinder). Normally, this is fine. It’s great for the PAX and DaVinci IQ. Not here, though…

No, with the Firefly 2 you want to use coarsely ground weed – you want it chunky and clumpy. The reason for this is that it vaporizes better inside its convection-heater bowl.

If you do it too fine, the materials will just move around too much, clog the airway, and basically not vape very well at all. So keep it nice and chunky!

    5) Get That S**T Nice n’ Tight

Once you’ve ground everything up, all the while remembering to keep it nice and coarse, you need to pack it into the bowl nice and tight. You don’t want any room for movement. This point is important which is why I’ve mentioned it twice. Don’t forget!

    6) Make Sure You’re Taking Draws Correctly

The key to getting the most from the Firefly 2 is how you draw on the mouthpiece. You want to take long, deep draws that last around 6-10 seconds. It sounds weird, but you quickly get used to it.

    Firefly 2

In contrast, short, sharp draws will deliver nothing in the way of vapor or flavor, so avoid these at all costs. This vaporizer is designed for long, deep, controlled draws. Do this and you’ll get plenty of vapor and MASSIVE flavor.

    7) Make Sure You Stir Up The Material In The Bowl

OK, this is easily the most annoying thing about the Firefly 2 – especially if you use it while hiking or walking the dog. You have to stir up the materials mid-way through a bowl.

It took me ages to figure this out, so don’t make the same mistake I did.

    Stir your weed!

Normally, the best time to do this is about halfway through a bowl. All it does is ensure that all the materials are heated evenly which, in turn, ensures you get your money’s worth.

This is the ONLY downside to having a convection heating element. It’s insanely fast (around three seconds) but you have to fiddle with the bowl in order to get ALL materials 100% vaporized, proving you really can’t have the sweet without the sour.

    8) How To Use Auto-Shutoff Mode To Your Advantage

The Firefly 2 features auto-shutoff; basically, this means that when you’re done vaping on it the device will automatically shut off, saving you precious points on the battery life front.

But here’s how you can use it to your advantage. Before it kicks in, while the oven is still nice and hot, you can then do a secondary burn and get even more heat in the bowl. This creates more vaper and, as you’d expect, a bigger hit.

    9) Get Acquainted With The Firefly Phone App

The Firefly Phone App (available for Android and iPhone) is great. And don’t be put off, thinking it’s rubbish like DaVinci’s because it really isn’t. Inside this app, you set everything up. It’s important you do this too, or else the vaporizer won’t perform correctly.

As noted earlier, I like to start off new bowls nice and low (Ultra-Low), then move up to Medium, and then, for the end, High.

    firefly app android

This ensures you get through everything in an efficient and tasty manner. And it’s always good having a proper burn at the end of the session too.

You can also name your Firefly 2 vaporizer inside the app, adjust settings for when you’re using concentrates, check battery levels, and even access Firefly’s retail store. It works great and is super-easy to use.

And that’s it for my tips! If you’re interested in this ultra-portable vaporizer, check out all the latest prices below!

Best Vape For Heavy Smokers – My #1 Picks For Nicotine Fiends!

    By Drake Equation | February 16 2019

If you’re a heavy smoker and you want to switch to vaping, you’ll need two things: 1) a simple device that’s easy to use, and 2) Nic Salts E Juice

    Why? Four reasons:

    1. You want something that’s easy to use, so you stick with it.
    2. You want a device that can run Nic Salts E Juice (hits more like a cigarette)
    3. You don’t want to be fiddling around with batteries/tanks/coils
    4. You want something portable that doesn’t take up loads of room

These are my #1 picks right now for the best vaping devices for beginners right now.

They’re all really simple to use, 100% refillable, unlike JUUL, and with Nic Salts E Juice, they will satisfy even the heaviest of smokers…

If you’re a heavy smoker and you’re worried that switching to a vape won’t satisfy your unquenchable lust for nicotine, think again!

Contrary to what you might have been lead to believe, a vape can be just as satisfying (for nicotine cravings) like a cigarette.

Nic Salts E Juice Are Best For Heavy Smokers Looking To Quit

And the reason for this is simple: Nic Salts E Juice – it’s stronger than normal E Juice but it doesn’t taste harsh.

It’s also available up to 50mg in strength too, though that might be a bit too much.

    Even for hardcore smokers!

Trust me, 20mg to 10mg will be just fine, even if you used to smoke two packs of smokes a day.

So Why Don’t We Recommend JUUL?

Pretty simple, really: it’s non-refillable, the battery life sucks, and it is super-expensive to run in both the short and long term.

A pack of JUUL pods (carrying four pods) will set you back $15; each pod lasts about 200 puffs. And that means you’ll get through about one a day (and that will end up costing you a lot of money).

    Best Vape For Heavy Smokers

This is why we ONLY recommend refillable vapes, when talking about ultra-portable vaping devices, as it saves you a ton of money in the process.

Nic Salts E Juice (like the ones listed inside our Best Nic Salts Brands post) are not expensive, so they’re obviously a better choice than JUUL and its propriety JUUL pods system.

    Another Reason?

Battery life! JUUL’s is awful – around 200 puffs, give or take. And that means you’ll always be left hanging if you don’t recharge it multiple times during the day.

I’d just rather have a pod vape that comes with a large battery that can go all day on a single charge. All of the devices listed in the table at the top of this article are 100% refillable and have decent battery life.

Obviously, if you want proper battery power, you’re going to need to get a proper vape kit. The one I always recommend to beginners that want a standard tank and mod kit is the Innokin KROMA-A.

    Best Vape For Heavy Smokers

    CHECK PRICES!

Why? Simple: it comes with a brilliant MTL tank that perfectly simulates the draw you get on a cigarette.

Most vape tanks operate more like inhalers, and this can be tricky for those new to vaping.

An MTL tank, like the Innokin ZENITH which comes with the KROMA-A kit, is designed to feel like you’re taking a pull on a cigarette.

This is why this kit is so good for heavy smokers looking to quit – it feels the same, but it tastes A LOT better.

    Tips For Success With Vaping

The main thing is to get a kit that you like and can use without too much thought. All of the vaping devices recommended in this post are simple, easy to live with and works great.

The other thing is E Juice. If you’re going to succeed with vaping, you’re going to have to enjoy it – and that means finding great flavors you like.

Use the Best Nic Salts Brands Guide to find the #1 brands that are making E Juice right now. All of the listed brands have a variety of flavors, so finding one or two you like shouldn’t be too difficult.

If you go the mod and tank route, you’ll need to get the following:

    • Spare Coils – Stock up on these because when they go, the flavor goes, and the tank is not usable until you’ve installed a new one.
    • 18650 Batteries – Make sure you buy decent quality batteries. I use these batteries, as they’re highly rated, safe, and designed for vaping.
    • External Battery Charger – You’ll need one of these to charge your 18650 batteries. I like ones with four slots, as you can charge more and never be without a powered-up vape mod!

That’s about it! Again, if you’d like any more information or help finding the right vape for your specific needs, just drop me a line via our Facebook page!

GOON RDA or Kennedy 24 RDA | Who’s The Greatest of ALL-TIME?

    By Drake Equation | February 11 2019

I really love the OG Goon RDA and the Kennedy RDA – both the 24mm and the 25mm version. Even now, these two drippers are pretty much unbeatable. But which out of these two classic RDAs is the best!?

I was recently reading a post on the r/electronic_cigarette subreddit that was talking about the greatest drippers of all time.

You know… the drippers that came out years ago but are still totally awesome today.

Drippers like the OG Goon RDA, the Kennedy 24 RDA. Classics, basically.

And this got me thinking about my collection of rebuildable attys – and which ones have stood the test of time.

I sat and thought about it for a while, mulling over ALL the drippers I’ve used over the years, thinking about which ones really stood out from the crowd.

Oddly, my own views tend to pretty much match the general consensus inside the thread; I really love the OG Goon RDA and the Kennedy RDA – both the 24mm and the 25mm version.

Even now, these two drippers are pretty much unbeatable.

But which out of these two classic RDAs is the best!? Is it even fair to compare them? I don’t know… but we’re going to anyway!

GOON RDA or Kennedy 24 RDA: The #1 ALL TIME Best Drippers…

    528 Custom GOON RDA…

    GOON RDA

First, let’s take a look at the GOON RDA. This thing, when it came out many moons ago, was something of a game-changer. It was the first dripper to really push the envelope with respect to builds and flavor performance.

The GOON looks fairly unassuming today, but back in 2016 Custom 528, the company behind it, effectively created a house-hold brand name overnight. Any vapor worth their salt knew and owned the GOON RDA.

    GOON RDA

The thing that was so cool about the GOON RDA was its deck. You could install massive builds and, thanks to the airflow, really dial in how the flavor was delivered. Back then, this was novel and a lot of vapers bit off Custom 528’s paws as soon as the atomizer was released.

And then you have the clamp system. Again, this was extremely novel back then and it allowed for large, flat wire builds (think framed staples) which resulted in the ability to install bigger and more impressive coils.

    GOON RDA Specs

    • 24mm Diameter
    • 510 Threaded
    • Adjustable Top Airflow Valve
    • Wide-bore Drip Tip
    • 1/2″ Drip Tip
    • Copper Contact Pin
    • Gold Plated Bridge Post
    • Gold Plated Clamps
    • Hybrid Safe

As you can see, the GOON RDA specs make it ideal for use on all styles of mods – even competition mechs, thanks to its protruding 510 pin for improved connectivity.

    The Kennedy RDA

    Kennedy 24 RDA

The Kennedy RDA, like the GOON RDA, is a true classic rebuildable atomizer. It does do things rather differently, however: it’s longer, does not feature clamps, and the airflow is bottom-mounted.

The Kennedy RDA is designed to be used “fully open” meaning, you install your build and leave the airflow wide open. And because it is bottom-mounted (versus the GOON’s mid-body placement), you get seriously intense flavor production.

    Kennedy 24 RDA

The Kennedy RDA is great for builds of all styles, but the GOON is definitely better suited to large, flat wire coils. You just have more room in the clamp system versus the Kennedy’s post system.

I do, personally, think the Kennedy is better for flavor though. And this, I think, I down to its bottom-mounted airflow and larger (meaning longer) top cap. The airflow is smooth and has room to breathe and this, in turn, allows for a slightly superior vape (with respect to flavor).

    Kennedy RDA Specs

    • Swappable 2 Post System
    • Smooth Airflow
    • 24mm Diameter
    • HUGE Build Deck
    • Large Air Chamber
    • Large Juice Well

I do really love the Kennedy. For me, it is the benchmark by which all other RDAs are graded by when it comes to flavor and airflow. Whether it is ACTUALLY better than the GOON RDA will depend on what you want from the atomizer yourself.

    Kennedy 24 RDA

    CHECK PRICES!

Kennedy vs. Goon RDA – Which is ACTUALLY The Best!?

    goon rda vs kennedy rda

Saying one of these EPIC atomizers is better than the other just doesn’t sit right with me; it’d be like saying the BMW M3 is a better than the BMW M4 – when they’re both excellent, just slightly different machines.

The GOON’s deck is better for larger, flat wire builds in my opinion, whereas the Kennedy RDA is superior when it comes to overall flavor – but only just! I love building on both, so I will not say one deck is better than another because that isn’t true.

Both RDAs feature utterly brilliant decks that are amazingly simple to build on. They both also kick out intense, flavorful vapor. Neither of them is cheap either, but these are truly magnificent atomizers, so this kind of goes with the territory.

Bottomline: if you’ve been messing around with cheap RDAs for a year or two and want to venture into the Major Leagues, these two RDAs are the ones to go for – for flavor, for deck design, and for performance.

Personally, I do favor the Kennedy RDA. If I could only keep one, it’d be that one.

Why? I just prefer the flavor and the way it hits.

But that does not mean it is superior to the GOON, just that I like it more – and that is my subjective opinion.

All serious gear-heads should try both.

That’s what I did, as I didn’t want to miss out on ANYTHING.

And now, a couple of years later, looking back, I really don’t regret spending just under $200 on these atomizers…

Why? Simple: because I still get so much use out of them. Even today, almost three years later!

Topside Dual vs Vandy Vape Pulse Dual | Dual of The Squonk Mods…

    By Drake Equation | January 18 2019

The Dovpo Topside Dual squonk mod and the Vandy Vape Pulse Dual are two of the hottest dual-1860 squonkers around right now… but which is the best vaping device?

Not so long ago, your options were pretty limited when it came to regulated, dual-18650 squonkers.

Things have now changed though – now you have A LOT of options when it comes to regulated squonk mods.

And two of the best are Dovpo’s Topside Dual and the Vandy Vape Pulse Dual.

In this post, we’ll look at both and how they differ in a bid to find out which is the best overall squonk mod.

    Let’s do this…

Topside Dual vs Vandy Vape Pulse Dual – What’s The Difference?

I’m gonna start by saying this: both of these squonkers are great. But there are differences in how they look and function.

I’m going to go over each mod individually and then do a wrap-up at the end.

Cool? Right, let’s start with the Topside Dual Squonk.

    Dovpo Topside Dual Squonk Mod

    best squonk mods

    CHECK PRICES!

Created by Brian from The Vapor Chronicles and Dovpo, the Topside Dual picks up where the original Topside left off, adding in support for dual-18650s and even more power.

You now have 200W of potential power under the hood, as well as 10ML squonk bottle which should be more than enough to get you through an entire day of vaping.

It is bigger than the original, single 18650 Topside but that’s kind of a given, seeing that it packs in an extra battery.

The OLED display on this vape mod is stunning too; you can see everything you need to in a glance.

The Topside Dual is super easy to use. The squonk bottle is topped up from the top of the device, though due to its size you won’t be doing this too often.

In terms of aesthetics, the Topside Dual is a very handsome chap. It’s available in a range of colors too:

    • Gunmetal
    • Silver
    • Black
    • Blue
    • Red
    • Purple
    • Gold
    • Green

    What’s In The Package?

    • The Topside Dual Mod
    • 2x 10ml Squonk Bottles
    • 1x Accessories Bag
    • MicroUSB Cable

    Things To Keep In Mind

    Topside Dual

The Beautiful Topside Dual w/ 10ml Squonk Bottle

The Topside Dual doesn’t come with an RDA, so you’ll either have to get one when you purchase it or using one of your existing BF RDAs.

The mod is designed for performance, and it delivers this in spades. The device itself is larger than the original, but you’ve got an extra battery life which means double the battery life, so not a bad thing.

It packs a HUGE squonk bottle; at 10ml it is one of the biggest in the business. And that is a big pro in my book.

    Vandy Vape Pulse Dual

    best squonk mods

    CHECK PRICES!

The original Pulse was the squonk device that started it all. Since then Vandy Vape (and Tony B) have made a couple of updates to the platform, adding in a chip for regulation and more power.

The Vandy Vape Pulse Dual, however, is the biggest evolution of the Pulse platform we have seen to date. It is a massive overhaul of what came before with WAY more power and support for dual-18650s.

These are both significant additions. The latest Vandy Vape chip brings 220W of power with it, as well as support for temperature control vaping, something the Topside Dual does not have.

The design, finish, and styling of the Pulse Dual is all very much on point, as you’d expect from Vandy Vape and Tony B.

The Pulse Dual is also smaller than the Topside Dual squonk mod, though this is likely down to its smaller squonk bottle (7ml). It does, however, have more power (220W versus 200W).

And it comes with an RDA in the form of the Vandy Vape Pulse V2 RDA, and this is again significant because the Topside Dual does not come with an RDA.

The original Pulse 24 RDA was great, delivering masses of flavor via its excellent build deck. The Pulse V2 RDA picks up where this atomizer left off, adding in a new deck that can handle dual-coil builds (of any size).

    What’s In The Package?

    • Pulse Dual Squonk Mod
    • Pulse V2 RDA
    • 1x 7ml Squonk Bottle (No Spares, Sadly)
    • 1x Accessories Bag
    • 1x Spare Parts Bag

    Things To Keep In Mind

The KING! The Pulse Dual + Pulse V2 RDA – A Killer Combo…

First and foremost is the price: the Pulse Dual is quite a bit cheaper than the Topside Dual (and it comes with an RDA too).

If value for money’s your thang, then the Pulse Dual is the winner in this context.

The Pulse Dual has more power as well. Not only that but you also get support for temperature control vaping, Bypass Mode, and Curve Vape Settings as well.

If you’re after the full package, and you need an RDA, the Pulse Dual squonker is pretty much perfect. It’s cheaper, more powerful, and has more features than the Topside Dual device.

Wrapping Up… Should You Buy The Dual Pulse or The Topside Dual Squonk Mod?

As noted above, the Pulse Dual offers A LOT more bang for your buck.

It looks just as good as the Topside Dual, comes with an RDA, and has more power and features.

For this reason, it comes highly recommended.

The Topside Dual is no slouch though; it is beautifully designed and performs exceptionally well.

The only downside, for some, will be that it doesn’t come with an RDA.

This is NOT a negative for me personally; my fave squonk ever is the RAGE squonker and that doesn’t come with an RDA either.

    topside-dual-vs-pulse-dual-squonk

The Toughest Decision You’ll Make In 2019…

For this reason, I am completely torn on which is the better vaping device…

On the one hand, you have the Pulse Dual which has masses of power, comes with an RDA, and has more features (TC, Curve Mode, Bypass Mode).

But then I LOVE the way the Topside Dual looks. I also really like how it operates and the fact that it has a 10ml squonk bottle inside it.

You will need your own RDA for the Topside Dual, and it will cost you more money than the Pulse Dual as well.

If I had to make a choice right now, and I could only have one, I’d probably go with the Pulse Dual, simply because it comes with an RDA – and you can never have enough of those.

Plus it’s cheaper and has more power and features.

That’s my ¢2, hope it helps you make a decision on which squonk kit to go for…

How To Use DNA Mods PROPERLY: All Settings Explained In Full

    By Drake Equation | January 15 2019

Mods that carry EVOLV’s DNA chipset are some of the most advanced and accurate on the planet. But if you’re new to vaping you might be wondering how to use DNA mods properly…

If so, this post is for you.

    Below, we’ll cover the following:

    • Setting Up Your DNA Mod
    • All Your DNA Mods Settings (And How To Use Them)
    • What Escribe Is
    • And Best Practices For Getting The Most From Your DNA Mod

How To Use DNA Mods | Basic Settings & Controls

    temperature control vaping

Lost Vape Triade 300W DNA250C TC Box MOD – $179.95 (Element Vape)

Like any box mod or vape mod, DNA mods are designed to be simple. And once you know the basic controls, they are…

But if you are new (and slightly confused) here are some tips on basic controls and operations your DNA mod can do.

Please note: these settings and operation tips work on ALL DNA mods, including DNA 75 and DNA 250 versions.

Basic DNA Mod Settings (And How To Use Them)

    • Power On Device: Hit the fire button five times.
    • Lock Device: Once it’s switched on, click fire button five times.
    • Adjust Power: Use Up and Down keys to adjust wattage/temperature
    • Activate Stealth Mode: Once device its powered on, depress the UP and DOWN buttons for five seconds – this will dim the display (and put it in stealth mode).
    • Lock Power Setting: If you want to lock your wattage/temperature at a certain setting, simply depress the UP and DOWN buttons for two seconds. This will lock-in your settings.
    • Lock Atomizer Resistance: Make sure mod is powered on, and you have a tank attached, then, hold down UP and DOWN keys simultaneously to lock the atomizer’s resistance.

    Adjusting Settings For Maximum Performance

    temperature control vaping

Lost Vape Triade 300W DNA250C TC Box MOD ($179.95) – View ALL Color Options

DNA mods are designed to be super-accurate, so whenever you install a new tank, the reading you’re getting on the display is likely exactly what it should be – these mods are 97% accurate!

This means, once you’ve installed a tank, you just need to adjust your settings to find the optimum output for your desired needs.

If you’re running an RDA, RTA or a performance sub-ohm tank, you’ll likely want to start anywhere around 50W and build up until the flavor peaks – this could be anywhere from 80W to 100W.

If you’re using an MTL tank, you’ll want to start MUCH lower; anywhere from 10W to 15W should be fine, and then work up to a place where the flavor really pops.

    What About Temperature Control

Simple: find the best setting for flavor, and lock it in.

This will vary from person to person, so you have to experiment.

The tank you’re using (and the coil) will have suggested settings, use these to guide you – and always start low. You do not want to burn out your coil too quickly.

DNA mods are exceptional at temperature control vaping, so if you’re using TC you’re in very good hands.

No other mod can match the DNA chip for temperature control vaping.

    What is Escribe?

Escribe is where things get a little fancy! Basically, using this software on your PC, you can customize ALL kinds of settings on your DNA mod.

Escribe DOES NOT work on Mac, so to take advantage of this software you will need a Windows PC.

Also: you don’t have to use Escribe, it’s not mandatory. But if you like tinkering it is kind of cool.

Inside the software, you can adjust all kinds of settings, from your mod’s graphics and display to things like power boosts in temperature control or creating different profiles for different tanks…

So, you could have one profile for your RDAs and another for your MTL tank, and the DNA mod will remember them.

This is just the tip of the iceberg really when it comes to Escribe, for a full look at what’s possible, check out the video below:

Anything Else I Need To Know

Not really, that’s about it for the basics.

DNA mods are designed to be super-useful and very easy to use. All the fancy bells and whistles happen under the hood with you knowing much about it.

For safety, accuracy, and overall features and efficiency it is more or less impossible to beat a DNA mod.

They are pricey, but once you’ve experienced one you will know why and you probably won’t want to ever go back to using a cheaper, inferior mod again!

All In One Vape vs. Traditional Vape Mod Kit: What’s The Difference?

    By Drake Equation | January 13 2019

All in one vape kits aren’t new. Not by a long shot. But they have changed quite a bit in the last couple of years.

Back in the day, an all in one vape kit was essentially a crappy, cig-alike device usually sold in 7/11s and garages.

And they sucked. They tasted bad. And you 100% did not want to be using them.

    But then things changed…

Pod mod vapes arrived on the scene, following the success of JUUL, and you now have TONS of good options for all in one vape kits.

Personally, I never recommend JUUL; it costs too much to run and the battery life sucks.

Instead, we recommend pod mod vapes that allow you to use your own E Juice and run on large internal batteries.

And our current pick for the best right now are logged here: VapeBeat’s Guide To The Best Pod Mod Vapes (That Are Better Than JUUL).

All In One Vape vs. Traditional Vape Mod Kit: What’s The Difference?

    Traditional Box Mods: An Overview…

Traditional vape mods kits normally consist of a vape mod and a vape tank. They come in all shapes and sizes, but mostly you have a battery-powered mod and a tank that you fill with E Juice.

Once the mod is powered on, you can adjust the wattage, use temperature control if that’s your bag, and generally customize how your tank vapes.

    All In One Vape

The dotmod dotbox is One of The Most Eye-Catching And Beautiful Vape Mods on The Planet. For Design, Features, and Good-Looks, Nothing Else Comes Close. It Is Rather Pricey Though…

Box mods are great for this express reason. I tend to use box mods almost 100% of the time because they offer the most power, the best battery life, and are simple to use.

Plus, you can swap around your tanks.

This means you’re not limited to the tank the mod came with; you can use RTAs and RDAs as well.

And having more choice is always a good thing.

    Pod Mods: An Overview…

    Pod mods are completely different.

They’re all in one vape devices and this means less moving parts, less customization, and less control over what you’re doing.

    All In One Vape

If You Don’t Mind Paying A Little Extra, The Lost Vape Orion Pod Vape Is A Seriously Good All In One Vape Kit. It Carries The Most Advanced Vape Chip On The Market (DNA Go) And It Looks Utterly BADASS

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it’s ideal if you’re after something simple.

But there are some caveats you need to be aware of:

    • You Need To Run Nic Salts or High PG E Juice In Them
    • Some Are NOT Refillable (Like JUUL)
    • Battery Life Varies Greatly Between Devices
    • Most All In One Vapes Are MTL Devices

The importance of Nic Salts E Juice is of paramount importance here.

You need high nicotine juice in pod mods because they produce way less vapor. In order to get a decent hit, Nic Salts are a must.

Failing that, you’ll want to use higher PG E Juice with 12-18MG nicotine.

Personally, I think you’re 100% better off with Nic Salts E Juice, as it is smoother when vaping.

The #1 Most Important Thing You Need To Know About All In One Vapes…

JUUL and plenty of other vape brands DO NOT let you use your own E Juice in their devices.

You have to buy proprietary pods direct from them (or compatible third-party options).

This is WAY more expensive than buying your own E Juice and refilling the pods yourself.

This is why all the all in one vape kits we recommenced inside our Guide To The Best Pod Mod Vapes are 100% open-systems, meaning you can use your own E Juice.

The other thing that’s super important?

Battery life! I cannot stress this enough…

    All In One Vape

The MiPod – This is Currently Our #1 Rated Pod Mod (All In One Vape) Kit Right Now. It Looks Amazing and It Vapes Brilliantly. A True Classic In The Making This One…

If you get an all in one vape with a small battery, you will 100% regret it.

The JUUL’s battery life absolutely sucks. It is terrible. Like 2-3 hours with normal vaping.

And that just isn’t good enough. Not if you’re looking to kick a smoking habit.

You need something reliable that will last a full day – or as close to a full day as possible.

For this reason, make sure you get an all in one vape with a decent sized battery like the ones listed inside our Best All In One Vape Guide.

Bottomline: Are Vape Mods ACTUALLY Better Than Pod Mods?

If you asked me personally, I’d say yes – they are a lot better than all in one vape kits.

And the reason for this is simple: they’re more customizable, they have better battery performance, and you can switch things up with the style of tank you’re using.

If you want a good idea of the top-rated vape mods right now, make sure you check out VapeBeat’s Guide To The Best Box Mods: Our #1 Picks For Right Now.

However… pod mods (or all in one vape kits) do have a place in the vaping arena.

They’re ideal for brand new vapers that just want to get off of cigarettes immediately.

Pod mod vapes are also A LOT easier and less complicated to use and set up than a traditional vape mod kit.

So, if you’re coming off the smokes and you want something simple, an all in one vape kit is definitely an option.

You just need to make sure you get a good one!

Fortunately, we have a guide that will show exactly what to get and you can check out it here: The Best Pod Vape Kits (Ideal For Beginners).
