In order to start strong, first you need to know basic setup procedure for the Mighty. I’m going to assume that you haven’t used it yet; so this will take your through all the initial steps you need to do before you start your first session with the Mighty. 

Don’t worry if you’ve already used it; you can still follow along. I just want this guide to be laser-focussed on covering all the basics – and it all starts with prepping the device for its first load. 

Initial Charge

Before anything else, fully charge the device.

It usually takes about two hours to charge from empty, which sets you up for around 6-8 sessions before needing to recharge.

This initial full charge is key to maintaining the long-term health of the dual lithium-ion batteries inside. Do not unbox it, fire it up, and start using it. You need to treat lithium-ion batteries nicely to get them maximum lifecycle out of them. Hence the initial charge procedure.

Burnoff Cycle

Before your first session, you’ll want to run an empty burnoff cycle.

Set the temperature to maximum (410°F / 210°C) and let it run for about 5 minutes. This ensures any leftover manufacturing residues are burned off, leaving you with a clean slate.

Not everyone knows about this. Take me, for instance, when I got mine, I didn’t do this. I’m still alive, talking to you, so it’s not a matter of life and death. But it is something you’ll want to do in order to get the best possible flavor.

Grinding and Packing

Temperature is key to how your session unfolds. Use the up and down arrows to set your preferred temperature.

The display is simple: the top number shows the current temp, and the bottom number shows your target.

And because everything is still warm, it comes off easier. If you wait until it is cold and hardened, you’ll have a much tougher time getting it pristine.

My advice? Give it a quick, initial clean as soon as you’re finished using it.

Deep Cleaning

Every now and then, depending on your usage patterns, you’ll want to do a deep clean on the Mighty – think of it as a bi-monthly spring clean. 

With all the will in the world, gunk is going to happen. Left unchecked, it will start to clog up the airways and impact the Mighty’s performance. 

For this reason, you’ll want to conduct a proper deep-clean once a month. Doing this will ensure your Mighty works as good as new for years on end. 

1. Disassemble the cooling unit by twisting it apart.
2. Soak the parts (except for the logo cap) in isopropyl alcohol for about 20-30 minutes.
3. Use the brush or cotton swabs to clean the oven.
4. Rinse, dry, and reassemble.

Replace the screens in both the oven and the cooling unit as needed to keep everything fresh.

How to Use Concentrates with the Mighty Vaporizer

For many people, the Mighty vaporizer is the last weed vape they’ll ever buy – it really is that good. But in order to really get the most out of it – including its lifecycle – you need to maintain it properly. 

I really cannot emphasise this point enough: clean it regularly and perform a deep-clean once a month (at the very least). 

If you want to save yourself A LOT of maintenance and cleaning headaches, use dosing capsules.

This will cut down on cleaning by about 90% because all the material is enclosed inside a capsule. 

I use the dosing capsules most of the time.

But sometimes, I just like to fill up the bowl without them and let it rip – you do get A LOT more vapor and flavor this way. 

With temperature, plenty of new users think more is better – this is wrong.

For each session, I’ll start low and then gradually ramp up. Doing this means you get EVERYTHING the bud has to offer; different compounds are activated at different temperatures. 

It’s a bit like driving a car; you don’t cane it all the time at max revs. You build up, ease into the journey. 

Starting low and building up is better for the Mighty’s battery life – both in the short and long term – and it ensures you activate as many of the myriad cannabinoids contained inside your weed as possible too.
