Which Weed Pen Has The Best Battery Life?

Which Weed Pen Has The Best Battery LifePin

Looking for a weed pen with excellent battery life? Look no more – here are my top picks for 2021 and beyond

When it comes to weed pens, battery life is often the thing that separates the men from the boys, so to speak.

I’ve tested and owned around 30 weed pens and vaporizers over the years, so I’ve gotten to know some of the best weed pens on the market pretty well.

As with most things in the world of vaporizers, the truly magnificent weed pens are few and far between, hidden in an ocean of sub-par, worthless devices.

Best Weed Pen For Battery Life

When it comes to battery life – as well as things like flavor and vapor production – the best weed pen in my collection right now is the DaVinci IQ 2.

The DaVinci IQ 2 has been my daily driver, my go-to weed pen, for over 12 months now, and the reason for this is simple: it has amazing battery life, an adjustable AFC, and it produces other-worldly flavor.

Although, if I’m at home I am usually locked to my Dr Dabber Switch – it is a freakin’ monster.

The IQ 2 is not cheap, however, but that’s par for the course with a vaporizer of this caliber. If you want a cheap weed pen, you have to make sacrifices – things like flavor, performance, and battery life.

Me? I’d rather my credit card takes a hammering than use inferior products. Plus, I only ever use 0% APR ones anyway, so I can always pay it off before the 0% APR period ends.

You can check out my full review of the DaVinci IQ 2 for more details. But the main takeaways for this weed pen are simple and are listed below:

  • It runs on 18650 batteries (one is even included in the box)
  • It is simple to use
  • It produces immense flavor
  • You can hot-swap batteries, so you don’t need to wait for it to recharge as you do with 99.9% of other weed pens
  • It has an adjustable AFC, so you can change how it draws.
  • It’ll do dry herbs, hash, and concentrates too

Cheap Weed Pen With Good Battery?

I know, I know – I just said cheap weed pens suck. And most of the time they do. But the Pax ERA Pro is the exception to this rule. It’s also relatively inexpensive too at just $69.99.

If all you want to do is run concentrates and oils, the PAX Era Pro is the weed pen to go for. It is small, compact, and it has excellent battery life, thanks to its internal 3500mAh battery.

You also have a massive selection of PAX Era pods for the PAX Era Pro. And once you have a pod installed, you’ll get around 200 puffs from the device before a recharge is required.

Is the Pax Era Pro as good as the DaVinci IQ 2? Not in my book. But I prefer to vape flower instead of oils and concentrates, so I’m always going to prefer a more traditional vaporizer like the IQ 2.

I also prefer having removable batteries on my weed pens because I can hot-swap a new 18650 in when the one I’m using dies. This means no downtime.

With the PAX 3 and the PAX Era Pro, you have to stop using the weed pen and attach it to its charging dock, effectively ending your session for a good 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Wrapping Up…

If you want my advice, go with the DaVinci IQ 2. I have used this weed pen for over 12 months now and it is utterly brilliant. The AFC is great and the fact that it runs on 18650 batteries means you never have to have any downtime.

DaVinci even includes a 18650 battery inside the box too, so you don’t even need to go out and buy one. Although, I would recommend that you do, so you can always have a spare battery on charge at all times.

Me? I vape using vape mods, so I have loads of 18650 batteries laying around my office. And if you do need a charger for your 18650 batteries, this is the one I use – it’s the most reliable charger I’ve owned.

If you want to vape concentrates and oils, as well as proprietary pods, the PAX Era Pro is a great weed pen option. At just $70, it is considerably cheaper than the DaVinci IQ 2 but you will not be able to vape bud with it – only concentrates, pods, and oils.

As always, the choice is yours. But out of all the weed pens on the market right now, the two I would recommend the most are the DaVinci IQ 2 and the PAX Era Pro.

All you’ve gotta do now is decide which one floats your boat the most.
