AirVape Vaporizer Buying Guide: What You Need to Know

If you’re on the lookout for a vaporizer that’s stylish, portable, and delivers seriously smooth vapor, AirVape is one brand you’ll want to check out.
AirVape is all about combining cutting-edge technology with sleek designs, giving you a top-tier vaping experience whether you’re into dry herbs, concentrates, or both.
Yes, AirVape devices might be on the pricier side, but they’re packed with features and a level of craftsmanship that make them well worth the investment.
If you’re someone who’s always on the move but doesn’t want to sacrifice quality, AirVape has you covered.
History of The Brand

AirVape came from a simple mission: to redefine portable vaping. The brand has grown quickly, mostly down to the fact that its products kick quite a lot of ass and are generally very well priced.
Storz & Bickel is still perhaps the number one brand in the space for quality and overall performance, but AirVape made a lot of friends with its Legacy Pro model.
In many ways, the AirVape Legacy Pro is as good as the Mighty+ (and the best part? It’s a damn-sight cheaper too).
Although it’s a relatively new brand in the vaporizer world, AirVape, developed by Apollo, has quickly gained a reputation for mixing high performance with a stylish, eco-friendly design.
Their product range started small but has expanded to include options for every type of user, from budget-friendly picks to feature-packed flagships like the Legacy Pro.
Product Line-Up

AirVape’s lineup has a vaporizer for everyone. Here are some of their standout models:
Recommended AirVape Models
- AirVape Legacy Pro: This is AirVape’s flagship, designed with hybrid heating (both convection and conduction) to give you a consistent, satisfying vapor experience. It’s compatible with both dry herbs and concentrates, features precise temperature control from 93°C to 227°C, and includes a removable battery with USB-C and wireless charging—perfect for those of us who vape all day.
- AirVape X: The AirVape X is ultra-slim, discreet, and great for users who need something portable that doesn’t skimp on performance. It heats up in about 20 seconds, handles temps between 93°C and 220°C, and has hybrid heating to make sure you get smooth, flavorful hits. Plus, it’s compatible with dry herbs and concentrates, so you get plenty of flexibility.
- AirVape XS GO: If you’re on a budget or just want something super compact, the XS GO is an OK option but it is very much the runt of the litter. It’s lightweight, has five preset temperatures, and heats up fast. The ceramic oven and hybrid heating make for clean, pure vapor but it definitely lacks the finesse of the X and the Legacy Pro.
Why AirVape Stands Out (Particularly The Legacy Pro)

What makes AirVape devices so popular? It’s a mix of precision design, high vapor quality, and practical, portable features. And price. That last one is a big one because as most of us know: good quality vaporizers are properly expensive.
What drew me to AirVape initially was, first, the hype around the Legacy Pro, and then its pricing; it’s high-end but it’s not Storz & Bickel money – it’s what I’d describe as reassuringly expensive without being inaccessible.
If something’s cheap as chips, and it’s a weed vaporizer, you know it’ll be terrible. They always are – god knows I’ve tested enough of them. But when you hit that sweet spot (around $250 to $300), that’s where the magic happens.
And this is where AirVape’s main product, the Legacy Pro, sits in the mix. And it sits very well, indeed, giving more expensive dab rigs and vaporizers a series run for their respective monies.
Here’s why the AirVape Legacy Pro not only lives up to its hype but also kind of exceeds it in some instances…
Design, Durability & Quality Vapor
If you’re all about flavor, you’re in for a treat with the AirVape Legacy Pro. After trying a handful of other devices, I was looking for something that could keep up with my cravings for those deep, rich terpene profiles, without feeling like I was sacrificing ease of use.
I mean, my Dynavap was great, especially for its price, but needing a butane torch in public?
Let’s just say I was tired of the odd looks from strangers. So, when I found the Legacy Pro with its hybrid heating and easy portability, I was sold.
This thing hits a sweet spot between flavor, power, and practicality.
AirVape’s blend of conduction and convection heating really shines here, producing that thick, tasty vapor we’re all after. It’s the kind of vapor that’s so dense and flavorful, it feels like you’re practically chewing on it—whether you’re going for dry herbs or concentrates.

The temperature on this beast goes all the way up to 464°F. Now, that’s serious heat! Unlike the Crafty+ I used before (which was locked at 410°F), the Legacy Pro’s higher temp gives it a huge edge, especially if you want to switch it up with some concentrates.
And having a 3,200 mAh removable battery has been a lifesaver for me. I can vape outdoors without ever worrying about my charge running low; it gives me twice the sessions I’d get from the Crafty+, and swapping the battery out on the go is no hassle at all.
The flavor on this thing? Honestly, it’s pretty much as good as the Mighty+. Check out my full AirVape Legacy Pro review for a more detailed overview of its pros, cons, and highlights.
The Legacy Pro doesn’t just give me clouds—it gives me clouds full of flavor. If I’m vaping solo, I usually dial in around 410°F for herbs and bump it up when I’m using concentrates.
The result is that smooth, rich taste that keeps me coming back for more. For me, it’s the perfect blend of power and portability, making every session feel like a top-shelf experience.
And here’s the kicker: it’ll even has wireless charging as well. Crazy, right? It’s really useful as well. I didn’t think I’d use it but now it is pretty much the only charging method I use for mine.
AirVape Vaporizer USPs: Things It Does Well
Convenient Charging
AirVape models are built with portability in mind, and that means a focus on charging and ease of charging. Battery life and topping-up the battery is perhaps the MOST annoying thing about running a portable vaporizer.
This is why I either A) use massive vaporizers like the Mighty+ that feature huge batteries inside them, or B) vaporizers that come with either removable batteries (the DaVinci IQ3 or the AirVape Pro) because no one likes waiting around 90 minutes for the damn thing to charge up.
Apollo clearly did its homework and has designed its vaporizers to address these charging woes. Case in point:
- The Legacy Pro’s removable battery and wireless charging mean you’re free to roam without hunting for outlets.
- Meanwhile, the AirVape X is ready to go whenever you are, charging up quickly and even letting you vape while it’s plugged in, thanks to its pass-through feature.
User-Friendly Vaping
AirVape keeps it simple and intuitive, so anyone—whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro—can jump right in. AirVape devices heat up fast (seriously, some of the quickest out there) and the controls are a breeze.
With straightforward buttons and clever design touches, like the vegan leather on the Legacy Pro, every AirVape model feels well built and well thought out.
Now, some are definitely better than others. I tested out the AirVape XS Go when it first came out and, well… it really didn’t impress me. The vapor wasn’t as good as I was expecting and the battery life was iffy at best. The AirVape X does things a lot better and adds in support for concentrates.
But the Big Daddy is, of course, the Legacy Pro – that thing is bloody outstanding which is why it is currently sitting pretty inside our Best Weed Vaporizer Guide. The only slight downside? It gets pretty dirty pretty quickly, so you gotta stay on top of things with respect to maintenance.
Who’s It For?
So, is an AirVape vaporizer right for you? Here are the types of vapers who’ll get the most out of these devices:
- Flavor Fans: The hybrid heating system and precise temperature control bring out the best flavors in your materials.
- On-the-Go Vapers: If you’re someone who needs portability, the AirVape X and XS GO are easy to take anywhere.
- Eco-Conscious Buyers: The Legacy Pro’s use of sustainable materials makes it a great pick if you’re mindful of the planet.
What’s The Best AirVape Vaporizer?

- The Best Overall: Go with the AirVape Legacy Pro—it’s the best for flavor and quality vapor. The other models are OK, but the Legacy Pro is literally in a league of its own; it’s up there with the Mighty+ and that is really saying something.
- For Ultra-Portability: The XS GO is compact, budget-friendly, and perfect for discreet vaping.
- For Sustainable Style: The Legacy Pro uses eco-friendly materials and wireless charging.
- For Flexibility: The AirVape X handles both dry herbs and concentrates, making it versatile in a slim design.
