The Mighty+ is often referred to as the ultimate weed vaporizer, and rightly so too – it is truly immense. The flavor is incredible, the performance is market-leading, and the battery life is very good too. 

It’s also the ONLY vaporizer that is certified by doctors for medical weed users. Storz & Bickel DO NOT mess around when it comes to industrial design, reliability, and performance. 

But there’s a new player in town, in the form of the Storz & Bickel’s new flagship vaporizer, the Venty, which brings a new design, faster heat up times, and app support. 

So, the next logical question is this: has the Mighty+ finally been dethroned by the newer, fancier Venty? 

I own both and have used both of extensively; the Mighty+ has been my go-to for 18+ months. But the Venty? It’s got plenty of USPs too and that makes for a very tough call.

After putting both the Mighty+ and Venty through their paces, it’s clear they each have a distinct vibe and audience in mind. Here’s my take on who each one is best for, based on my real-world use and feedback from my friends and collages.

Mighty+ – Rock-Solid and Reliable

If you’re someone who values consistency over flash, the Mighty+ is your go-to. Think of it as that dependable, sturdy friend who’s always there for you and never lets you down.

I’ve used the OG Mighty for years, and it’s handled some serious “mileage”—drops, heavy daily use, you name it, and it’s kept delivering smooth, dense clouds, and brilliant performance.

The Mighty+ takes everything that made the Mighty so good, and just ups the ante, adding in better overall flavor and cloud production, USB C charging, and a more useful digital display.

As vaporizers go, it is basically perfect – killer battery life, simple to use, wicked-good flavor and clouds, and rock-solid battery life.

And perhaps the biggest factor in this comparison: it’s also quite a bit cheaper ($299 vs $449) than the newer Venty vaporizer.

The Mighty+ is ideal if:

• You’re all about reliable performance and don’t want a device that needs constant attention.
• You prefer simplicity—no apps, no extra settings, just turn it on and go.
• You don’t mind a slightly longer heat-up time and appreciate that rich, thick vapor that the Mighty+ is known for.

Venty – Advanced, Customizable, and Ready to Impress

Now, the Venty is where things get interesting. If you’re a fan of gadgets, like to tweak your settings, or want the latest tech, the Venty is right up your alley.

The faster heat-up time is a massive plus if you want to sneak in a quick session or just hate waiting around. The adjustable airflow is also a game-changer.

When I’m using the Venty on its higher airflow setting, it’s so smooth it feels like I’m just breathing in air—none of that “milkshake pull” you sometimes get with the Mighty+.

But there are issues – lots and lots of reported issues – with the Venty that give me cause for concern.

The Venty is a great fit if:

• You want more control over your experience with adjustable airflow and app connectivity.
• You love techy features and want to be able to customize everything from your phone.
• You’re looking for a lighter, more portable design that’s easy to carry around.

The Venty might be a bit newer on the scene, but it feels like the next step in vaporizer evolution. It’s perfect for those who want the best of both worlds: quality vapor with cutting-edge features.

Bottom Line

The Mighty+ is still very much the de facto vaporizer right now when it comes to all the stuff that matters: performance, ease of use, vapor quality, and battery life. It is also cheaper than the Venty too, so if you’re after value, I’d say go with the Mighty+.

But if you’re craving that extra control and want the latest tech in your pocket, the Venty could be just the upgrade you’re looking for. It’s newer, so there’s the novelty factor. But it also heats up much faster than the Mighty+ and it allows for a more customizable vaping experience.

For me, the Mighty+ will always be my steady backup, but the Venty – mostly because I like tinkering with its settings, and the faster heat-up time – is my new daily driver.

In this respect, and in my experience, there isn’t much to separate these two in this context.

But I wouldn’t say they’re worth paying $100 extra for it, not when the Mighty+ is as good as it is. If you like to tinker, sure, the case for the Venty is strong. But where it counts? They’re pretty evenly matched in my experience.

In terms of price, the Mighty+ clearly comes out ahead as the more budget-friendly option, and I’d argue it offers better value for the money. Yes, the Venty does bring some advanced features to the table—faster heat-up time, adjustable airflow, and app-based customization—but are these additions truly worth the extra $100?

For most users, the Mighty+ delivers everything you’d want in a high-quality portable vaporizer without the need for all the extras.

It’s a solid, dependable device that has proven its value over time with reliable performance, exceptional vapor quality, and straightforward functionality.

If you’re more about ease of use and reliability, the Mighty+ has you covered without the need for bells and whistles.

Now, if you’re the kind of user who loves to tweak settings, play with airflow, or control everything through an app, the Venty might feel like a worthy upgrade.

The Venty’s added features give you more control and customization, and for some, that’s a big deal.
