I’ve used every single Vaporesso XROS pod vape since the original, and every year they’ve improved.
But the Vaporesso XROS 5? This one’s not all the different from what came before but this is for a good reason.
It is designed to be simple, to be reliable, and to run the best coils on the market (just like the XROS 4 and XROS 3 before it).
And while there are changes, they’re all tasteful and serve the end goal: continuing the XROS legacy as the go-to pod vape.

CoreX 3.0 Mesh Coil: The Secret Sauce
The big leap here is the new CoreX 3.0 mesh coil. It delivers smoother airflow, richer flavor, and better longevity than anything before it.
You’ll still get support for all previous XROS pods, which means if your local shop doesn’t stock the new CoreX 3.0s yet, you’re good to go with older versions like CoreX 2.0 which, by the way, last for weeks and taste amazing right down to the final puff.
In my experience, CoreX 2.0 coils easily last 2–3 weeks, with no flavor drop-off until the very end. Vaporesso’s consistency here puts them in a league of their own.
No one else is doing it quite like this.
Simple, But Not Basic
Some folks think the XROS 5 is too simple. But that’s the point. This isn’t a mod packed with features you’ll never use—it’s a pocket-friendly pod vape built to deliver a flawless MTL experience without any hassle.
No screens to fiddle with. No apps. No distractions.
You fill it, you vape it. Done.
But if you do want a bit of control, the XROS 5 now offers adjustable wattage up to 30W. You also get fine-tuned airflow control and pod resistance options to switch between tight MTL and restricted DTL.
My daily go-to? The 0.6Ω mesh pod. Consistent. Smooth. Flavor for days.
Battery Life: Noticeably Better
Battery life has jumped up by around 30–35% compared to the XROS 4. You’re now getting a 1200mAh battery, which easily lasts all day, even for moderate to heavy vapers.
It’s one of the few pod systems I don’t have to top up mid-day. That alone makes a big difference.
Design & Build: Sleek and Functional
The XROS 5 keeps that signature slim, minimal design. It’s lightweight, solid in the hand, and doesn’t scream “vape device” when it’s in your pocket. It’s stealthy, refined, and just plain works.
Any Downsides?
Honestly, not many. The only issue I’ve ever had was with some older 0.8Ω pods leaking, but that hasn’t happened with newer versions. The 0.6Ω coil has been bulletproof.
