How To Improve JUUL Battery Life (#1 Tips & Fixes)
If you’ve been using the JUUL for a while, you might have noticed that its battery life isn’t that good. In this post, we’ll look at there simple fixes that’ll improve JUUL battery life…
Officially, the JUUL is not designed to be a powerhouse with respect to battery life. JUUL says the battery will last about as long as one JUUL Pod – so, around 200 puffs, give or take.
This isn’t ideal, for obvious reasons. So what can you do about it? For starters, you CANNOT expand the battery life of the JUUL; it’s fixed and non-removable – so you’re stuck with it, essentially. You can get spare JUUL battery packs, however, so that is always an option.
And you’ll probably need one too because JUUL battery life is not good – hell, it’s not even average. This is why I’d always recommend something like the UWELL Caliburn over the JUUL; it’s cheaper, it vapes better, providing you get some good quality Nic Salts juice in it, and it is refillable, so it is finitely cheaper to run in the short and long term.
Another alternative would be getting a better vape, and if you want something similar to JUUL, just with better battery life and cheaper pods, the Apollo Brez Deluxe is 100% where it’s at right now.
Beyond this, you have a few additional options for getting more out of your JUUL’s battery life, all of which are detailed in full below:
1) Think About Usage & Top Up Charging
JUUL Pods run on Nic Salts. Nic Salts E Juice is very potent; normal usage should be less, as it is around 4-5 times stronger than standard E Juice.
Therefore, you should be using the JUUL less than you would a traditional vape device. 20MG of nicotine versus 3MG is a big difference, and JUUL was designed with this in mind.
If you’re constantly vaping on the JUUL, try and limit your usage – like you would with a 20 pack of smokes. Don’t just honk on it all the time, as this will kill the battery within an hour or two.
If you treat the JUUL as you would a cigarette, you’ll get way more from it in the long run, as well as conserve your JUUL pods.
This isn’t exactly easy to do, but with focus and will it can be done.
The big idea here is to quit smoking and get off nicotine for good, right? Limiting your usage helps you get to this goal faster. Be tough with yourself, you can do it – and it will save you money and battery.
Beyond this, keep your JUUL charger with you at all times.
If you’re at work and not using it, give it a top-up. Ditto if you’re at home. This way your JUUL will always have battery life.
2) Get Yourself a Spare JUUL Battery
The second option, which I actually ended up doing, is getting a spare JUUL battery.
Running two (or three) JUUL batteries means you can run one down, and then swap it for a fresh one.
PRO TIP: Rather than paying full whack for JUUL pods, use third-party pods instead. They’re bigger, cheaper, and come in more flavors – you can check out #1 JUUL Pod Alternatives for my curreny favorites.
And while you’re using the new one, you charge the dead one. Once that one dies, you repeat the process. This way you will always have a fresh JUUL battery knocking about. You will have to carry that extra JUUL battery with you, and they aren’t cheap, but it does solve the issue of running out of juice halfway through the day.
Depending on how much you vape, you should be able to get through a full day on two JUUL batteries – though this will depend on your usage habits.
3) Invest In A Portable JUUL Charger
What if you can’t access a computer during the day? Or you work outside? Simple: get yourself a portable JUUL charger.
These inexpensive accessories work much like a phone power bank; they’re basically portable charging units for the JUUL that you can carry in your pocket.
The Jili Portable JUUL Charger is considered by many to be the best in the business right now; it’s also pretty cheap too at just $34.99 (Vapor4Life).
Using the Jili Charger for JUUL, you can charge up to two JUUL batteries while on the move – no wires or plugs required.
Once one of the battery dies, simply swap it with a fresh one and pop the dead one in the Jili Charger to charge up.
The Best Solution For JUUL Battery Life Issues?
Personally, I think you’re best off with a combination of #2 and #3 – having more batteries and portable charger negates pretty much 100% of JUUL’s battery issues.
It is an investment, obviously, but when you don’t have to worry about running out of battery life, it does start to feel like money well spent.
For me, it’s not about the money; it’s about less hassle.
Using multiple JUUL cells and a portable charger means the only thing I have to remember to do is make sure the portable charger is fully charged.
Once this is done, it takes care of everything else throughout the day.
Similar Devices To JUUL With Better Battery Life?
If you don’t want to do any of that, and you’re sick of your JUUL’s poor battery life, are there any other pod mod vapes that are similar to JUUL?
In a word: YES – there are hundreds.
Not all are created equally, however. I have around 20+ pod mods in my office right now, and the only one I use on a regular basis is the UWELL Caliburn.
It has refillable pods, so it’s cheaper to run than JUUL, a decent-sized battery life, so it’ll do all-day vaping, and it is an MTL vape that kicks out excellent flavor.
Right now, I think the UWELL Caliburn is the #1 pod system on the planet, so if you’re after something similar to JUUL that is a bit easier to live with and cheaper to run, be sure you have a look at it. Alternatively, you can check out our top picks for pod mod vapes in the table below:
