Squonking is ALL the rage these days, but if you’re new to vaping you might be wondering what squonking is all about…
Squonking is now a very big trend in the vape space. And the reason why is simple: it’s very handy.
It might sound weird, but what it actually means is very simple:
Squonking is the process of sending E Juice from your mod to your tank.
How Squonk Mods Work:
- There is an E Juice storage bottle located in your mod.
- A pipe leads from this bottle to your squonk-compatible tank.
- When you squeeze the bottle, E Juice is sent to your tank.
The Benefits of Squonking
- you don’t have to constantly drip E Juice if you’re using an RDA. Just a simple squeeze and your wick is re-saturated.
- TPD tanks (2ml) can be refilled quickly, without dissembling them, and this saves you time.
- Adds in three-to-four times the juice capacity of any sub-ohm tank.
- If you use RDA tanks, it effectively turns them into high-juice capacity tanks as most squonk bottles hold around 5-8ml of E Juice
Why I Use Squonk Mods
I mostly use RDA tanks, so for me, a squonk mod is a no-brainer.
I never have to drip if I have a squonk mod to hand. I just fill the squonk bottle up in the morning and I’m good to go for the rest of the day.
This means I can now take my RDA on road trips or nights out and never have to worry about dripping E Juice.
This is basically why squonker mods were invented; they make RDA tanks EVEN better by adding in a juice reserve of anywhere between 5-8ml.
Best Squonk Mods You Can Buy Right Now?
Good question. There are quite a few. But my absolute favourite – for performance and value for money – has to be the Pulse Squonk Kit by Vandy Vape.
It retails for just $50 and comes with one of the best RDA tanks in the business (the Pulse 24 RDA).
I love mine. And if you’re in the market for a brilliant squonk setup that won’t break the bank, this is the one I’d recommend.
However, I do also really like the following setups:

Things To Keep In Mind (Squonk RDA Tanks)
You will, of course, need a squonk-compatible tank to use with your squonk mod.
Most modern RDAs worth their salt come with a squonk pin. But make sure you check before buying.
I use the following RDAs for squonking:
Most Squonk Mods Are Unregulated
The vast majority of squonk mods are unregulated. And this means you need a basic knowledge of Ohm’s Law and battery safety before jumping in.
When a mod is unregulated, it means there are no safety features in place between you and the battery.
They’re mech mods basically: just a power switch and a battery.
For this reason, squonk mods aren’t always advisable for newbies.
You really DO NOT want to be running the wrong resistance on your coils and pushing a battery to hard, as it can cause bad things to happen.
For this reason, please make sure you LEARN about Ohm’s Law and battery safety before jumping in head first.
Once you got that down, you’re all good.
Squonking is a brilliant new vaping innovation, and it makes RDA tanks EVEN better than they already are.
If you’re not already on the squonking train, you’re missing out.
So grab your ticket and jump aboard!
