DaVinci was one of my favourite vaporizer brands back in the day. The original IQ and IQ2 were beautifully made, produced superb vapour and felt like they could survive being fired out of a cannon.
Then things went quiet.
DaVinci was sold to Greenlane in 2021 and, without getting bogged down in the corporate mess that followed, the brand lost a lot of its momentum. Products became harder to find, new releases slowed down and DaVinci stopped feeling like the company that had once given PAX and Storz & Bickel a proper headache.
But here’s the good news: DaVinci is back in the hands of its original founders.
Shauntel Ludwig and Cort Smith reacquired the company in 2024, and the current line-up is the first real sign that DaVinci is back to doing what it used to do best: making expensive, beautifully engineered vaporizers with clean vapour paths, replaceable parts and seriously good vapour quality.
There are now six current DaVinci devices to consider. Three are for dry herb, one is for standard 510 cartridges, and two are full-sized concentrate rigs. They are not all competing for the same buyer, so ranking them from one to six without context would be pretty useless.
For most people, though, the answer is simple.
What’s The Best DaVinci Vaporizer Right Now?
The DaVinci IQ3 (pictured above) is the best DaVinci vaporizer in 2026.
It has the best battery life, the biggest oven and the coolest vapour of any portable DaVinci device. It also uses a removable 21700 battery, has adjustable airflow and carries a ten-year warranty.
It is bigger and heavier than the old IQ2. It is also $299, so it isn’t cheap. But if you want the full DaVinci experience, this is the one to buy.
The DaVinci IQ Core is the better-value option at $199. You lose the IQ3’s Air Dial, Cool Core and huge 21700 battery, but the basic experience remains very similar. For a solo user who doesn’t need a 0.7g bowl, it is probably the more sensible purchase.
And if you want something tiny, the $99.99 MIQRO-C is the cheapest way into the range.

1. DaVinci IQ3: Best DaVinci Vaporizer Overall
Best for: Regular users, bigger bowls, longer sessions and anyone who wants the best vapour quality DaVinci currently makes.
The DaVinci IQ3 is the new flagship, and it is comfortably the best portable vaporizer in the current line-up.
At first glance, it looks like DaVinci has taken the IQ2 and made everything bigger. That is partly true. The oven now holds up to 0.7g of dry herb, the battery is a much larger 4000mAh 21700 cell and the body weighs 8.4oz.
This is no longer a tiny vaporizer. It is still pocketable, but you’ll know it is in there.
The extra size has been put to good use, though. Battery life is rated at up to 90 minutes, the oven is large enough for group sessions and the new Cool Core does a much better job of taking the heat out of the vapour before it reaches your mouth.
DaVinci claims the Cool Core makes vapour roughly 50% cooler than its older models. Percentage claims like that are always worth taking with a pinch of salt, but the difference is real. The vapour stays remarkably comfortable even when you push the temperature beyond 400°F.
The Vapour Quality Is The Main Event
The IQ3 is a conduction vaporizer, meaning the walls of the oven heat your herb directly. That makes it different to something like the Storz & Bickel VENTY or Arizer Solo III, which use a mixture of conduction and hot-air convection.
Conduction isn’t automatically worse. It just produces a different type of session.
The IQ3 works best when you fill the oven properly, pack it down and take slow draws over several minutes. Do that and the vapour is dense, smooth and packed with flavour. The effects also build steadily rather than arriving in one enormous lungful.
Its 0.7g oven is massive for a portable vape. You do not have to finish the entire bowl in one sitting, either. You can treat it a bit like a joint, taking a short session and returning to the same load later. The flavour drops off each time it is reheated, but the large bowl makes this a practical way to use it.
If you only ever use 0.1g at a time, the IQ3 is probably overkill. It includes a 0.2g dosing capsule and has an adjustable pearl that reduces the effective oven size, but the IQ Core or MIQRO-C will make more sense for genuinely small loads.
Air Dial And Smart Paths
The Air Dial on the bottom gives you four airflow settings. Open it for an easier draw or close it down for something tighter and more concentrated.
It works, but the way you pack the oven matters more than the position of the dial. A tightly compressed 0.7g load creates its own resistance, so the difference between the airflow settings becomes less obvious. With a lighter or partial pack, the dial has more effect.
You also get four Smart Paths. These gradually raise the temperature across an eight-minute session, starting at 350°F on the lowest path and finishing at 430°F on the highest. You can ignore those entirely and set the temperature one degree at a time if you prefer.
Everything important can be controlled from the device. There is a browser-based app for changing settings and tracking estimated dosage, but you don’t need your phone to make the IQ3 work.
The dosage feature also needs a little context. It calculates an estimate using the strength and amount of material you enter, along with the length of your session. It cannot test your weed or know exactly how much THC your body absorbed. Treat it as a rough consumption guide, not a medical instrument.
IQ3 Battery And Charging
The IQ3 runs on a removable 21700 battery. DaVinci includes one in the box and rates it for up to 90 minutes of use.
This remains one of DaVinci’s biggest advantages over PAX and Storz & Bickel. If the battery dies, you can replace it with a charged cell and continue. More importantly, when that battery starts losing capacity in a couple of years, you replace the battery rather than the entire vaporizer.
You can charge it inside the IQ3 using USB-C, although a full charge takes around three hours. An external 21700 charger and a second battery make far more sense for regular users.

Should You Buy The DaVinci IQ3?
Yes, if you already like the way DaVinci vaporizers work.
It feels like a proper return to form. The build is superb, the vapour is cool and full of flavour, and the replaceable battery means you should be able to keep using it long after a sealed-battery rival has started losing runtime.
It does not hit as quickly or as aggressively as a VENTY or Tinymight 2. That isn’t what it is trying to do. The IQ3 is for slower, controlled sessions where flavour and comfort matter more than blowing out a ridiculous cloud in ten seconds.
2. DaVinci IQ Core: Best Value DaVinci Vaporizer
Best for: Solo users who want the DaVinci build and vapour quality without paying $299 for the flagship.
The DaVinci IQ Core is the model I would point most people towards.
It costs $199, which makes it $100 cheaper than the IQ3. More importantly, the things it loses are not things every user needs.
You still get a zirconia-lined conduction oven, a zirconia mouthpiece, four Smart Paths and precise temperature control up to 430°F. It also runs on a removable 18650 battery and works with both dry herb and extracts.
The oven holds 0.5g rather than 0.7g. That is still plenty for a portable session and, for one person, it may be the better size.
What you lose is the IQ3’s adjustable Air Dial, spiral Cool Core and larger 21700 battery. Runtime drops from a claimed 90 minutes to around 60 minutes, while heat-up takes about 45 to 60 seconds.
The Core also weighs 5.3oz, making it noticeably easier to carry than the IQ3.

The IQ3 is better. There is no question about that. But is it $100 better for someone who vapes alone and normally loads 0.2g or 0.3g? Probably not.
The Cool Core is the feature you are most likely to miss. The IQ Core’s vapour becomes warmer as the session continues, particularly at higher temperatures. It is not harsh, but the IQ3 is clearly more comfortable.

For most buyers, yes. It is the sweet spot in the current range.
The IQ3 is what you buy when you want the absolute best DaVinci makes. The IQ Core is what you buy when you want most of that experience and would rather keep the extra $100.
3. DaVinci MIQRO-C: Best Compact DaVinci Vaporizer
Best for: Occasional users, smaller loads, travel and anyone who wants a proper dry-herb vape for around $100.
The DaVinci MIQRO-C is the smallest and cheapest dry-herb model in the 2026 range.
It measures just 80mm tall, weighs around 3.5oz and costs $99.99. It still feels like a DaVinci, too. The body is aluminium, the oven is glass-lined and the battery is replaceable.
This time it is a small 900mAh 18350 cell. That keeps the body compact but limits runtime to roughly 30 minutes. If you use it several times a day, you will want a spare battery.
The MIQRO-C has four Smart Path modes and heats up in around 39 seconds. Its oven holds somewhere between 0.25g and 0.3g depending on which part of DaVinci’s own specification page you read. Either way, it is far better suited to a quick solo session than the enormous IQ3 chamber.
Vapour quality is good for the money, but the short airpath means it becomes warmer than the IQ3. The smaller heater and battery also mean it does not have the same stamina when you keep pushing it at maximum temperature.

If you vape daily and can afford another $99, the IQ Core is a much stronger long-term purchase. If portability matters more than battery life, the MIQRO-C is a clever little device and a much better entry point than the original MIQRO was.
4. DaVinci ARTIQ: Best DaVinci For 510 Cartridges
Best for: People who use standard 510 oil cartridges and find the vapour too hot or harsh.
The DaVinci ARTIQ is not a dry-herb vaporizer. It is a battery for standard 0.5g and 1.0g 510 cartridges.
It makes the list because it does something genuinely useful.
Most cartridge batteries place the mouthpiece directly beneath your lips. The vapour has almost no distance to travel, which is why a high-voltage cartridge can feel like it is trying to remove the lining from your throat.
ARTIQ hides the cartridge inside its aluminium body and sends the vapour through a much longer internal airpath. DaVinci says this makes it 90% cooler than a normal cartridge. I would not get too hung up on the exact percentage, but the cooling effect is easy to notice.
You get three power levels, a ten-second preheat mode, draw activation, haptic feedback and USB-C pass-through charging. The cartridge is also protected inside the body, so there is less chance of cracking the glass in your pocket.
The downside is that ARTIQ weighs about 150g. That is hilariously heavy for a cartridge battery, and oversized or unusually wide carts may not fit. It also uses small magnetic collars that are easy to misplace.

Best for: Concentrate users who care about quartz flavour, detailed temperature control and replaceable heating parts.
The DaVinci EQ Skyrise Limited Edition Quartz is DaVinci’s new $399 electric dab rig.
It is also the strongest proof that the revived company is not simply recycling the old IQ design.
EQ uses a replaceable quartz crucible with a temperature range of 450°F to 650°F. It has a full touchscreen on the base, four programmable Smart Paths and a 30ml glass bubbler. You can control everything from the device without opening an app.
The Smart Paths make more sense on an e-rig than you might expect. Instead of holding one temperature throughout the dab, EQ can move through a programmed temperature range. That lets you start low for flavour and finish hotter for fuller extraction.
Quartz is another big part of the appeal. It provides a very clean flavour and the crucible can be replaced when it becomes worn or stained. The heater, mouthpiece and glass can also be replaced separately.
This matters on a $399 device. Plenty of electronic vaporizers claim to be premium but become expensive paperweights when one sealed component fails. DaVinci has at least designed EQ so its main working parts can be changed.
The battery system uses two internal 3000mAh cells and is rated for up to 50 sessions. Heat-up can take as little as 25 seconds, although DaVinci also quotes a broader 25-to-150-second range depending on the chosen temperature and heating path.

6. DaVinci EQ Jacuzzi Collection: Best Luxury DaVinci Setup
Best for: Home users who want the biggest glass setup and do not mind paying heavily for it.
The DaVinci EQ Jacuzzi Collection costs $549.
It uses the same basic electric-quartz system as the Skyrise, including the touchscreen, replaceable quartz crucible, 450°F to 650°F temperature range and dual 3000mAh battery setup.
The main difference is the glass. The Jacuzzi bubbler holds 60ml of water rather than 30ml, giving the rig a larger body and a more substantial home-use feel.
Does that justify another $150? For most people, no.
The larger glass gives vapour more water and space to travel through, but it does not turn the heating base into a more powerful device. You are paying for the size, visual impact and ritual of the Jacuzzi bubbler.
That will appeal to some buyers. It looks fantastic sitting on a desk or coffee table and feels more like a proper rig than a portable electronic device. But the $399 Skyrise remains the better buy.

DaVinci Versus PAX: Which Is Better?
PAX vaporizers are slimmer, simpler and usually easier to slip into a pocket. The new PAX Flow also uses hybrid heating and has a much more open airpath than older PAX devices.
DaVinci gives you more control and more parts you can replace yourself.
The IQ3 and IQ Core both use removable batteries. Their temperature can be controlled directly from the device, and the vapour runs through zirconia and glass components. The IQ3 also has a larger oven than the current PAX models.
If you want something discreet and simple, buy a PAX. If you care more about battery replacement, material choice and precise control, buy DaVinci.
For sheer vapour comfort, the IQ3 has the edge over the older PAX Plus. The newer PAX Flow is a much closer contest because its hybrid heater and redesigned airpath fix many of the complaints people had about previous PAX generations.

DaVinci finally feels like DaVinci again.
The company spent a few years in the wilderness after its sale to Greenlane, and for a while it looked as if one of the best names in weed vaporizers might simply fade away. The original founders buying it back appears to have changed that.
- The IQ3 is now the best DaVinci vaporizer you can buy. It is large, expensive and not remotely subtle about what it is designed to do. Fill that massive oven, choose your temperature and settle in for one of the coolest, smoothest conduction sessions available from a portable vape.
- For most people, the IQ Core is the smarter purchase. It keeps the build quality, removable battery and excellent vapour while cutting $100 from the price.
The MIQRO-C, ARTIQ and EQ models then cover their own specific jobs. That is the real strength of the 2026 range: there is finally a clear reason for each product to exist.
If I were buying one with my own money, though, I would still choose the IQ3. It is the model that best captures why I liked DaVinci in the first place. It feels like it was built to last, the vapour is bloody good, and there is nothing else on the market that works in quite the same way.
