I know I’ve harped on about the Vaporesso XROS Pro, but I think the XROS 4 Nano is now the true king of the XROS Kingdom – here’s why…
XROS 4 Nano Review: The TL;DR Verdict
The XROS 4 Nano has everything the XROS 4 has (exceptional coil performance, market-leading flavor) just with a larger battery (1350mAh vs 1000mAh) and a more compact design. For this reason, it is definitely the XROS to get right now.
Pros:
- Big battery for its size
- Fast charging is super handy
- Loads of coil options
- Excellent flavor production thanks to COREX 2.0
- Adjustable airflow for both MTL and RDTL
- User-friendly interface with a customizable display
Cons:
- Battery life could be better for heavy vapers
- 2ml pod capacity means more frequent refills, especially for chain vapers
- The 0.4Ω pod isn’t included in some versions, which is a bit of a letdown
- Potential leaking issues with the 0.8Ω pods, although it’s not super common
I love Vaporesso’s XROS series of pods. For the last 18 months, outside of testing other vapes, they’re pretty much all I ever use. The XROS Pro has been my daily driver for months now.
But you know what? I think it has just been usurped by the XROS 4 Nano.
And the reason? Battery life.
The Nano branding here is slightly misleading because the XROS 4 Nano has a bigger battery than the XROS Pro (and the XROS 4).
It gets its Nano branding from the fact that it is more compact, thanks to its boxy, squarer shape which creates more surface area and opens up the possibility of running a larger battery.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano based on my 2+ months’ worth of usage.
Why The Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano Is The Best XROS Right Now
Performance and Features
First up, this little device packs a 1350mAh built-in battery, which is impressive considering how small it is. It’s got enough juice to keep you vaping throughout the day, and thanks to the USB-C fast charging, you can go from empty to full in about 30 minutes—at least, that’s what Vaporesso claims.
For battery life performance, the XROS 4 Nano is the best in the entire XROS range, beating both the XROS Pro and the XROS 4.
In reality, your mileage may vary with battery life especially if you’re pushing it all the way up to 30W consistently. Me? I tend to run it pretty low on the 0.6ohm pods as I prefer a fairly tight MTL draw.
With this setup, the battery life on the XROS 4 Nano runs rings around my XROS 4 and XROS Pro. As for the XROS 3 Mini, it is nearly 2x as good.
Battery life has always been my main issue with XROS pod vapes but the XROS 4 Nano, with its larger, 1350mAh non-removable battery, goes A LONG way to solving this problem.
When it comes to power, the XROS 4 Nano offers a variable wattage range of 15-30W, which means you can fine-tune it to match your vaping style.
Whether you’re into MTL (Mouth-To-Lung) for a more cigarette-like draw or RDTL (Restricted Direct-To-Lung) for something a bit airier, this device has you covered.
It’s got three modes—Eco for when you want to save some battery, Normal for your everyday vape, and Power mode if you want a bit more punch, especially with flavor.
Coil Options and COREX 2.0 Tech
One of the standout features of the XROS 4 Nano is its compatibility with all XROS pods, giving you plenty of options when it comes to coils.
And, lest we forget: Vaporesso makes the best damn pod coils on earth right now. The only ones I’ve ever had any issues with are the 0.8ohm options.
The 0.6ohm coil works like magic, however, so if you’re new to XROS pods, my advice would be to go with that one – it’s MTL but slightly airy. Think of it as the goldilocks option.
When you buy the XROS 4 Nano, it comes with the 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω COREX 2.0 pods in the box. The 0.4Ω pod is available separately if you want to unlock full variable wattage mode, taking it up to its maximum output of 30W, you’ll need to buy these separately.
I tested a couple of the 0.4ohm coils out and, while they were decent, I still think the 0.6ohm coil is the best option for all XROS pod vapes. It delivers the best draw, it doesn’t eat loads of battery, and the flavor and overall performance is incredible – the longest I’ve ran one is THREE WEEKS.
All of this flavor and longevity is ONLY made possible by the tech that powers the coils, and that technology, of course, is known as COREX 2.0 in its latest guise.
Vaporesso claims it boosts flavor by 30%, increases pod lifespan by 30%, and ups vapor production by 15%. These sound like bold claims because they are.
But in my experience, the COREX 2.0 coils not only live up to the claims but in some instances exceed them.
As I noted earlier, I’ve run some of my 0.6ohm COREX 2.0 coils for over three weeks. As far as my experience goes (15 years in the industry), that’s about as good as it’s ever been with coil performance.
Airflow, Draw, and Overall Experience
Part of the reason why I have been pretty much exclusively using XROS vapes for the past 18 months is the draw you get from them. It’s a damn-near perfect MTL draw that was so good, I ended up ditching my Kayfun.
If you’re coming from cigarettes, you’ll want MTL – it’s the same draw-style as you do on cigarettes – and right now XROS vapes are the titans of it; literally no one else does it quite as good.
And that’s coming from someone who has tested around 40 different pod vape systems in 2024 alone.
You’ve got adjustable airflow on the XROS 4 Nano, so you can dial in the perfect amount of resistance whether you prefer a tight or loose draw.
It also supports both button and draw-activated firing, which is super convenient.
Like all XROS pods, it is super simple to use, easy to live with, and requires little to no maintenance – just swap out the coils when you’re done, and that’s about it.
For what it’s worth, I do think that the XROS 4 Nano – with its adjustable wattage – is perhaps not quite as suitable for absolute beginners as the XROS 4. But saying that, you can use the vape and never have to touch the wattage settings, so I guess it’s kind of a moot point.
Design and Display
For a pod system, Vaporesso didn’t skimp on the design. The XROS 4 Nano sports a 1.3-inch TFT color screen that lets you customize themes and even throw in some vaping animations if you’re into that.
It’s sleek, compact, and weighs just 98g, so it’s super portable and is ideal for both guys and gals because it takes up very little room in your pocket, purse or handbag. It also comes in a range of pretty interesting colorways too:
- Race Track
- Word-Pop Yellow
- Aquamarine
- Word-Pop Blue
- Camouflage
- Twilight Purple
- Graphite Black
- Titanium Silver
I got a Graphite Black one because black is my jam. But if you want something with a little more fizz, the Word-Pop Blue or Yellow is well worth a look. It’s unique, eye-catching and definitely stands out from the crowd.

Compared to the XROS 4, the XROS 4 Nano is basically a more compact version with similar features, but a bigger battery and faster charging, thanks to its USB Type C 2A support.
The design is definitely more interesting too, and the color options. Given the choice, I think most users would gravitate towards the Nano over both the XROS 4 and the XROS Pro.
Against the XROS Pro, it holds its own by offering a larger battery (1350mAh vs. the Pro’s 1000mAh) and a more advanced display, making it a solid option if you’re after something compact but still loaded with features.
Final Thoughts
Look, I love the XROS Pro and the XROS 4. But there’s no way around the fact that the XROS 4 Nano is the superior choice right now. It has a bigger battery, faster charging, and it runs all the same coils as the XROS 4 and XROS Pro.
In a side by side, as we did above, the case is clear: as of right now, the XROS 4 Nano is the best XROS vape you can buy for battery life, performance, and more subjective things like design and color options.
Like all XROS vapes, it’s priced very well and delivers SPADES of value for money. This is a vape you will run for years at a time with the only cost being juice and coils.
And with coils, because they last so bloody long, you’ll spend far less than you normally would using a lesser brand like SMOK or VooPoo.
No one else makes coils that 3 weeks at a time. For this reason, if you’re going to use a pod vape and you want the best flavor as well, your only option is Vaporesso.
And the Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano is the current king of the jungle right now.
