Pyne Pod Click 80K vs L&A Click Pro 80K: Which Is Best? My 2 Cents…

If you’re looking to switch up your vape and you have the Pyne Pod Click 80K and L&A Click Pro 80K on your radar, but cannot decide between the two of the them, here’s my humble opinion on both after testing them for a couple of months.

The Pyne Pod Click 80K is the better buy for most people. But the reason isn’t quite as simple as you might think.

• It includes two 20ml pods, giving you 40ml of e-liquid in total.
• You also get two power modes, an OLED screen, normal 5% nicotine and a larger flavor range.
• And it is this latter point, mostly, why I prefer it over the L&A Click Pro 80K.

The L&A Click Pro 80K costs less, has a larger 900mAh battery and lets you see the liquid inside its transparent 22ml pod.

But it uses 5% Nixodine rather than conventional nicotine salt, which is fine for most people, but might be a little off-putting for some and for this reason I have to go with the Pyne Pod Click 80K.

My recommendation: Buy the Pyne unless you specifically want to try Nixodine. It costs more upfront, but it includes almost twice as much e-liquid and gives you a far better set of features.

The 80K Puff Claims Need Some Context

Both products advertise up to 80,000 puffs. I would not use that number as the main reason to buy either one.

Puff counts are normally calculated using very short machine-operated draws. If you take a normal two or three-second pull, you will use more liquid per puff than these laboratory tests.

Pyne effectively confirms this through its two output modes. Each pod is rated for:

• Up to 40,000 puffs in Regular mode
• Up to 16,000 puffs in Boost mode

The pod has not changed between those modes. It still contains 20ml. The only major difference is how much liquid the coil vaporizes each time you inhale.

That tells you how flexible an “80K” rating really is.

The L&A claim is harder to judge because the company advertises 80,000 puffs from one 22ml pod. Pyne needs two 20ml pods, or 40ml in total, to reach the same combined number.

I do not believe most adults will get 80,000 normal-length draws from 22ml. Treat these numbers as branding or rough guides. You’ll get plenty of puffs from each, most of the time well over a month’s worth of usage, but a flat 80K is definitely not a literal promise.

Design And Build

Both vapes use a reusable battery section with replaceable prefilled pods, but they approach the idea differently.

The magnetic pod system is the main attraction. You can remove one flavor and attach another without replacing the battery. Several kits come with two different flavors, which helps when you become bored with using the same one all day.

The OLED screen displays battery and operating information. Some listings also advertise an e-liquid indicator, although Pyne’s documentation could be more precise about exactly what appears on the screen.

The device is draw activated, so you do not need to press a button each time you inhale. The physical control is used to change the output setting.

Some sellers also advertise adjustable airflow, three power levels, top filling and compatibility with Innokin Z coils. I would ignore those claims for now.

They are not listed consistently, and claims about top filling and replaceable Z coils do not fit neatly with the product being sold as a prefilled pod. They look like product copy may have been carried over from another device.

Unless the packaging or manual confirms those features, buy the L&A on the basis that it is a simple 22ml prefilled pod system.

Which One Has The Better Design?

I prefer the Pyne.

It feels more like a proper reusable pod platform. You can swap flavors, change the output and check your battery on the OLED display.

The L&A is less complicated. Its single transparent pod makes sense if you want to install one flavor and use it until it is empty.

But committing to 22ml of one flavor is a gamble. A flavor that tastes great during the first hour can become sickly after several days.

Pyne’s two-pod bundle gives you more freedom and twice the total liquid capacity.

Battery And Charging

Both devices recharge through USB-C, but neither needs to be discarded when its battery runs out.

The Pyne Click battery is listed at approximately 750mAh by current US distributors. Pyne’s 80K bundle page does not publish the capacity, but it appears to use the same battery supplied with the Click 40K system.

The L&A has a confirmed 900mAh battery.

That gives the L&A a 150mAh advantage on paper. It should last longer between charges when both devices are used at a similar output.

However, neither battery is intended to last through the entire pod without recharging. You will charge both devices many times before using 20ml or 22ml of e-liquid.

Pyne’s screen makes it easier to monitor the battery percentage. L&A uses its click-style indicator or display, although the exact information shown varies between product descriptions.

The L&A wins on published battery capacity. Pyne has the more useful screen and gives you proper output control.

Regular Mode vs Boost Mode

Pyne gives you two verified power settings:

Regular Mode

Regular mode operates at a lower output, currently listed as 10W.

It produces a cooler MTL vape and uses less battery and e-liquid. This is the mode to use if you want the longest possible pod life.

Boost Mode

Boost mode increases the output to a listed 20W.

It produces warmer vapor, a stronger hit and more concentrated flavor. The trade-off is much faster e-liquid and battery consumption.

The advertised life of each pod falls from 40,000 puffs in Regular mode to 16,000 in Boost mode.

I would use Regular as the everyday setting and switch to Boost when the standard output feels too soft. Leaving Boost enabled constantly removes much of the longevity advantage.

If output adjustment matters, Pyne is the safer choice.

Nicotine vs Nixodine

This is the biggest difference between the two products.

Pyne Contains 5% Nicotine

The Pyne Pod Click 80K contains conventional 5% nicotine.

If you already use 50mg nicotine salt disposables, Pyne is the familiar option. You know what type of active ingredient you are buying, even if the exact e-liquid recipe is not published.

L&A Contains 5% Nixodine

The L&A Click Pro is advertised as containing 5% Nixodine rather than nicotine salt.

Nixodine is marketed as nicotine-free, but it is not the same as ordinary zero-nicotine e-liquid. It is intended to act on the same receptor family as nicotine and produce similar effects.

Nixodine’s owner warns that it may be addictive and acutely toxic. It is intended for current adult smokers and vapers, not non-users.

There is also disagreement about its exact makeup.

Some older commercial descriptions call it vitamin-based. More recent academic material identifies Nixodine products with 6-methylnicotine, a lab-made nicotine analogue. Its manufacturer says Nixodine does not contain nicotine, but that does not make it inactive or harmless.

The FDA has not authorized Nixodine products, and long-term human inhalation data is limited. You can read the current warnings on the Nixodine website and the summary published by the University of Wisconsin Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention.

I would not buy the L&A on the assumption that Nixodine is simply a safer version of nicotine because there’s no scientific data to back that claim up.

If you want normal nicotine, buy the Pyne. Consider the L&A only if you have already decided that you want a nicotine analogue and understand the uncertainty surrounding it.

Which Has Better Flavor Options?

Pyne wins easily.

It has more choices and several proper dual-flavor combinations. Its Boost setting also gives you a way to increase warmth and flavor intensity.

The L&A has some interesting blends, particularly Strawberry Cupcake and White Peach Raspberry, but you are locked into one 22ml flavor until you replace the pod.

Pyne is the better choice for anyone who changes flavor during the day.

Reliability: Which One Is More Dependable?

The thing about these types of vapes is that they’re built for convenience, not to last you the rest of your life. If you take good care of it, don’t knock them around too much, you should be fine when it comes to reliability.

I’ve got similar vapes that still work 12+ months after testing them. The elephant in the room, though, is that disposables aren’t designed to last as long as refillable pod vapes or standard vape kits. Even the prefilled, hybrid-disposables will eventually start to crumble in your hands after prolonged use.

At a push, you could run either of these for 6-12 months with no problem. But most people don’t do that; instead, they swap to a different model after a month or so, switch to something better like a refillable pod vape.

Pyne Reliability

The Pyne has more removable parts and magnetic connections.

Those connections may occasionally need wiping if condensation or pocket debris collects around them. This is normal maintenance for a replaceable magnetic pod system rather than proof of a fault.

The advantage is redundancy. The kit includes two independent pods. If one pod develops a problem, you still have another pod and the reusable battery.

One early owner reports using five units without leaking, but that is not enough evidence to promise that every unit will behave the same way.

L&A Reliability

The L&A has a simpler one-pod layout and fewer parts to switch.

Its transparent pod also makes it easy to check whether liquid remains around the coil. That is better than relying completely on an electronic estimate.

The concern is coil life.

L&A expects one integrated coil to handle 22ml of e-liquid. That is a large workload for a single pod. If the flavor drops or the coil burns before the pod is empty, the unused liquid remains trapped inside it.

Now, I went through about six of these before writing up this comparison and I didn’t notice any flavor drop-off on any of them. That tells me the coils L&A is using are good quality and, in most cases, should last until all the juice is gone.

That’s not a guarantee, however, just my own albeit limited experience. Your mileage may vary. But that’s just life with these kinds of vapes.

Replacement pods solve the problem, but they cost almost as much as the starter kit: a replacement pod costs $9.77, while a new, full kit retails for only slightly more ($11.77).

Reliability Verdict

I would call this a draw for now.

• L&A has the simpler construction.
• Pyne has two pods, clearer controls and a backup if one pod fails.

Both held up well in testing. I got my full money’s worth and both still work fine post testing, months later. Again, for optimal performance and better overall reliability, you’ll want to go the refillable pod vape route.

I recommend the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2; this is what I use and has pretty much been my daily driver since the start of the year.

When checked, the prices were:

The L&A is clearly cheaper to buy initially. If you only care about paying the lowest price today, it wins.

But Pyne includes 40ml of liquid versus the L&A’s 22ml. It also gives you two pods, an OLED screen and two verified output modes.

Based on those prices:

• Pyne costs roughly $0.49 per included milliliter.
• L&A costs roughly $0.54 per included milliliter.

Pyne costs more at checkout, but you receive more liquid and better hardware.

Who Should Buy The Pyne Pod Click 80K?

Buy the Pyne if:

• You understand that nicotine-free does not mean inactive

• You use one flavor until it is finished
• You prefer a basic MTL device

I would not recommend the L&A to someone who thinks Nixodine is ordinary zero-nicotine vape liquid. It contains an active nicotine-like substance and carries addiction and toxicity warnings.
