50/50 vape juice is designed for use in MTL tanks – tanks like a Kayfun Mini, for instance – and pod vapes like the UWELL Caliburn A2. You would not want to use 50/50 vape juice in a sub-ohm tank, it’d be too harsh. But in an MTL or pod vape, it is perfect, especially if you don’t want to use Nic Salts juice.

What is 50/50 Vape Juice?

Vape juice – or e liquid or e juice, as it is sometimes known – comes in a few different kinds. And the reason for this is that different types of vape juice are used in different types of vape devices.

50/50 refers to the mix of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. In the context of 50/50 vape juice, you have a mix of 50% of each, hence the name.

Propylene glycol, or PG, is what gives vape juice its flavor and throat-hit; the higher the PG, the harsher the vape juice tastes. I say, harsh, but what I really mean is throat hit.

If you have 50/50 vape juice, where 50% of the liquid is made up of propylene glycol, you’ll get a nice throat hit and plenty of flavor.

This is why 50/50 vape juice is used in pod vapes and MTL tanks.

With vegetable glycerin, this is where you get the smoothness. This is why sub ohm tanks, the type that produces massive amounts of vapor, use high vegetable glycerin (VG) blends of vape juice.

You DO NOT want a throat-hit with a sub ohm tank; it’d make you cough your guts up. This is why all vape juice designed for sub ohm vaping is usually 80% to 100% vegetable glycerin (VG).
