SMOK Devilkin PREVIEW: Specs & Price Detailed

SMOK DevilkinPin

The SMOK Devilkin is one of SMOK’s latest releases, it carries a similar design to the ProCOLOR, and comes with the SMOK TFV12 Prince tank. But is it any good? We take a look at what makes it tick…

SMOK is the #1 vape mod brand on the planet right now, and it has been for quite some time.

JUUL has more market share, according to most market analytics, but SMOK has coverage and product depth.

And yet, the company has yet to get even one of its kits inside our Best Vape Mod Guide

The SMOK Devilkin 225W TC vape mod starter kit is one of the latest kits from SMOK for min-2018.

The design is simple enough, and you get a solid sub ohm tank with it in the form of the SMOK TFV12 Prince.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with SMOK products, most notably its tanks – the coils just aren’t that good.

SMOK Mesh Coils Make Life A Lot Easier Though

SMOK’s new mesh coils – i.e. the ONLY coils you want to be using – are vastly superior to its wired ones; if you do go with this kit, make sure you get the mesh coils for the tank.

SMOK mods, however, are far more predictable with respect to performance; nearly all its latest offerings are decent, with similar UXs and software.

SMOK Devilkin Features & The Settings Menu

As per usual, SMOK has outfitted the SMOK Devilkin with a boat-load of features, including temperature control.

It has everything you could possibly need from a mod (and then a shed-load more on top of that).

I mean, just look at these specifications.

SMOK Devilkin Specifications

  • Wattage Output Range: 6-225W
  • Voltage Output Range: 0.5-9V
  • Min Atomizer Resistance: 0.05ohm

Temperature control performance is very good on SMOK’s latest mods, and the array of settings they have, plus how easy it is to access them via the mod’s settings menu, make them some of the best value options for new vapers.

I really liked the I-PRIV and its tube-style mod kit, the SMOK RESA Vape Pen. But I just really dig the simplicity of the SMOK Devilkin; it takes what made the ProCOLOR great, and slightly tweaked things.

You have a vast array of safety features, though the SMOK Devilkin does lack the I-PRIV’s built-in AI voice command feature, where you can talk to your mod and change settings like wattage and temperatures.

SMOK Devilkin Price

Without these “gimmicks”, because, let’s face it, that’s exactly what they are, you’re going to pay less for the SMOK Devilkin – $59.95 versus $69.95.

And for me, that’s a significant saving, especially when it’s for a feature I’d never actually use.

Ideal Kit For New Vapers

The SMOK Devilkin comes off of the back of six years of solid growth for SMOK. The company has learned from its mistakes (hello, SMOK Alien) and has dug down on what actually matters: ease of use, performance, and features.

The SMOK Devilkin is beautifully designed, super ergonomic, and the menu system is as complicated or as simple as you want it to be.

Case in point: I’m a wattage guy, so for me, using this mod is a breeze.

Fully Assembled

I don’t mess around with temperature control or curve mode. I just set the wattage and vape.

Still, SMOK has made all these other vape settings super easy to calibrate and work with; you just navigate the menus, select the setting you want, and augment the controls to your desire.

SMOK Devilkin | Good Value For Money?

For a starter kit, yes, I think the SMOK Devilkin serves up some pretty impressive value for money.

You’re getting a solid vape tank and a hugely powerful vape mod with tons of features.

And you’re getting it for $59.95 (and with free shipping).

To my mind, that’s excellent value for money. You’re getting everything you need in one kit and, providing you get the mesh coils, you shouldn’t really have any issues with the performance of the mod for the foreseeable future.
