Grenco Science, a notable name in the industry, takes pride in offering quality vapes having supreme functionality. It is known for providing ultra-discreet vape solutions at a sensible cost where G Pen is a perfect example.
But let’s have a closer look at this portable vape to explore its potential in order to find out whether it is worthy of making our Best Weed Vaporizers A-List.
Design and Appearance
Aluminum construction makes it pretty durable, and the device gives out a strong feel. The body is balanced due to its wider base. On the front, the LED display lights up to notify the user about the current status of the device.
The mouthpiece pokes out of the device, which certainly makes it easier to inhale but troublesome to carry in the pocket. The heating element is present on the top and safeguarded with a covering to protect your skin from unwanted heat.
- Aluminum housing shell
- Full-quartz tank
- Removable silicone mouthpiece
- Precise temperature controls: 315°- 425° C
- Automatic heat controls
- Max heating mode
- Water filtration
- Haptic feedback
- LED display
- Rapid charging
- Micro USB charging
It works between the ranges of 315°- 425° C, which seems quite smartly chosen. That’s because any heat above that would mess up the flavor of the smoke. The temperature can be selected using the up and down buttons that alter the levels in 25-degree varying steps.
It features a max mode in which the device reaches the maximum temperature with a single push of a button. During this mode, the device might overheat. But no worry as it automatically shuts itself off after a certain time. Further, LEDs on the front keep notifying the user about the heat level, and a hand symbol appears when the device is about to overheat.
This feature sets Roam apart from anything currently available on the market. The water filtration is one of its kind and gives out a unique experience. The water is present inside a leak-proof hydro tube through which the smoke passes, resulting in purer, smoother and cooler vapors.
Whether you enjoy intense or smooth hits, this device offers a wide range of options for every mood. The strength and density of the smoke can easily be altered by using the temperature controls — not to forget, the max mode, which is a dream come true for the strong hitters.
The long pathways and water filtration cool down the vapors before reaching your lips. Plus, the filter removes impurities along the way, ensuring uncontaminated outcome.
The battery is indeed strong, but not what you might have expected for this price. You can only get 20 sessions from a fully-charged battery. In our opinion, the manufacturers should have thrown in a better power source for such an incredible gadget.
In this respect, the DaVinci IQ 2 is leagues better than the G Pen Roam. And I think it delivers better flavor too. I also prefer having the ability to swap out my 18650 batteries, as you can on the IQ 2.
The same can be said for its micro-USB charging, which feels obsolete. It should have nothing less than the USB-C charging, offered by all of its rivals.
