TL;DR: Is The MIQRO-C As Good As The DaVinci IQ3? Nah… Here’s Why
The DaVinci MIQRO-C is a great little vaporizer if you want something affordable and portable. If you travel a lot, don’t need best in class performance, and don’t want to spend big money, it’s a great little vaporizer.
The DaVinci IQ3 is a larger, more premium dry herb vaporizer and when you unbox it and use it, you will know where that extra money went.
- The flavor is orders of magnitude better
- It has a larger (removable) battery, so it lasts much longer
- The IQ3 gives you more granular control over your sessions
The IQ3 is more expensive but for most people, it is the better option. Yes, it costs more but because it runs removable batteries (unlike most other vaporizers) it will last you decades. My original IQ is still going strong a decade later!
My advice? Get the DaVinci IQ3.
The design, flavor, and the performance are all off the charts and, based on my OG IQ vape, it’ll probably last me for the next 10+ years or more…
The MIQRO-C is tiny and more affordable but it can’t match the IQ3 for flavour, vapour production, battery life or control. That’s why I still use the IQ3. It’s been one of my favourite vaporizers for the past two years.

Both are conduction vaporizers with glass-lined ceramic ovens, zirconia parts and replaceable batteries. The IQ3 is much larger, and that gives DaVinci room for a bigger oven, a larger battery, adjustable airflow and a more advanced cooling system.
The MIQRO-C is the better choice if portability comes first

The MIQRO-C is small enough to disappear in your hand or slip into a small pocket. It also costs about a third of the IQ3’s current US price, which makes it a much easier purchase if you only vape occasionally or don’t want to spend $300 on a portable vaporizer.
Its smaller oven suits a short solo session. You don’t have to load the large amount of flower the IQ3 can hold, and the adjustable pearl lets you reduce the chamber further.
That’s the trade-off, though. The MIQRO-C is designed to be small and ultra-portable. That’s kind of its whole deal. It can give you a satisfying session, but the flavour isn’t as good as it is on the IQ3, and the performance isn’t in the same league, either.
The smaller oven and body limit how much vapour it can produce and how long it can keep going between charges. But if you prefer shorter, smaller sessions and want to pay less, the MIQRO-C makes a lot of sense.
If you’re new to vaporizers, I’d also recommend the MIQRO-C as a great first-timer’s device. It isn’t complicated to use, the performance is great, and it doesn’t cost too much either.
If you want a compact vape for occasional use or smaller sessions, that may be a perfectly reasonable compromise. If you want your main vaporizer to deliver the best flavour and performance DaVinci offers, I’d spend more and get the IQ3.
The IQ3 is the better vaporizer for regular use

The IQ3 is the more capable device. It holds up to 0.7g, has a dedicated zirconia cooling core, lets you adjust the airflow and gives you precise temperature control as well as Smart Paths.
You can set a tighter draw for denser vapour, or open the airflow to make the vapour cooler and less dense. The MIQRO-C doesn’t give you that same level of control. It uses four preset temperature paths and has no airflow dial.
For me, the flavour is the biggest difference. The IQ3 produces fuller, more consistent flavour, and it has the performance to make longer sessions more satisfying. You can also load more flower if you want a substantial session or plan to share.
That larger oven won’t suit everyone. If you only want a few draws, 0.7g is probably more than you need. But the IQ3’s adjustable pearl gives you some flexibility, and I’d still take it over the MIQRO-C if this were my only vaporizer.
The IQ3’s battery lasts longer between charges

- The IQ3 has a removable 4,000mAh 21700 battery.
- The MIQRO-C uses a much smaller removable 900mAh 18350 cell.
DaVinci’s approximate runtime figures are up to 90 minutes for the IQ3 and around 30 minutes for the MIQRO-C. Now, your mileage will definitely vary based on how you use it but the difference here is significant.
The IQ3’s battery lasts 3x longer than the MIQRO-C. In normal sessions, this is significant. I can run down the MIQRO-C on a Friday evening whilst watching a movie. I’ve yet to do that with the IQ3, it always lasts most of the evening.
Again, both run on removable batteries, so if you have spare cells it’s not a problem. But if you don’t want to be messing around with external batteries, just get them as you need them, the IQ3 is the more sensible option.
The MIQRO-C charges faster, which makes sense given its smaller battery. But if you use your vaporizer regularly, the IQ3’s longer runtime means fewer interruptions to charge it.
The removable battery is a big reason I keep using the IQ3
I’ve used the IQ3 for the past two years, and its removable battery is a big part of why I continue to recommend it. The MIQRO-C has a removable battery too, so this is an advantage they share over many portable vaporizers.
But the MIQRO-C doesn’t quite have the same level of finesse as the IQ3. I love the flavor I get from the IQ3, the draw is great too (and it’s adjustable). I own loads of vaporizers but the design, weight and ease of use of the IQ3 keeps me coming back to it.
It’s sturdy and fairly bulky but it’ll sit in your pocket no problem. It doesn’t look like a vaporizer either so it is perfect for stealth vaping when you’re out and about. My original IQ has been to many, many music festivals and it never got noticed by anyone.

When I’m spending this kind of money on a device, I want the option to keep using it for years. Batteries wear down over time, and when they finally crap out (which they all do) the vaporizer effectively becomes a paperweight.
With many vaporizers, the cell is built into the device and isn’t designed for a straightforward user replacement. If the battery becomes the weak point, the device can end up being difficult or uneconomical to repair.
With the IQ3 or MIQRO-C, you can replace the battery when it wears out.
That doesn’t mean every other part will last forever, of course, but it gives you a practical way to extend the life of the device instead of treating the battery as a sealed, finite part of the purchase.
That matters to me. The IQ3 is the more expensive vaporizer, but its larger replaceable battery makes it easier to imagine using it for a decade or more, provided you look after it.
Which one should you buy?
- Buy the DaVinci MIQRO-C if you want a smaller, more affordable vaporizer for occasional use, discreet carrying or short solo sessions. It does the job, and its replaceable battery is a real plus at this price.
- Buy the DaVinci IQ3 if you want better flavour, stronger performance, longer battery life and more control over your sessions. It costs more and takes up more room, but it’s the DaVinci I’d choose for regular use.
For me, the IQ3 wins. The MIQRO-C is a good portable option, but the IQ3 is the vaporizer I want when flavour, performance and long-term ownership matter most.
