RAZ RYL 35K vs RX50K: Is the Step Up to 50K Worth It?

The RAZ RX50K and the RYL Classic 35K are arguably the two best vapes in RAZ’s current lineup. But which is the best option when it comes to flavors, performance and value for money? Here’s my 2 cents…

Which Is Best Overall? My Advice

The RYL Classic 35K is a great device. The RX50K is a better one.

The question is whether the extra features justify the price jump.

  • For casual to moderate vapers, the RYL is probably enough (check prices).
  • For daily heavy vapers who want the most control and the longest-lasting device RAZ makes, the RX50K is worth every cent of the difference (check prices).

The Main Differences

RAZ RYL Classic 35K (1)

Puff count.

The RX50K in Normal Mode gives you 50,000 puffs versus 35,000 on the RYL. That’s a meaningful gap for daily vapers.

In Boost Mode the RX50K drops to 25,000, which is still comparable to the LTX DC25000.

Power modes and wattage control.

This is the biggest gap between the two devices. The RYL has one mode: vape it. The RX50K has three power modes and nine distinct wattage/airflow settings.

That’s pod-system-level control in a no-maintenance disposable format.

If you’ve ever wished you could dial in your hit harder or softer depending on mood, the RX50K is the only RAZ that lets you do that.

Display.

The RX50K’s 1.65-inch LED display with four light modes and dark/light UI options is a step up from anything else in the RAZ lineup.

Real-time battery percentage, e-liquid level, puff count, and wattage setting all visible at a glance.

Flavors.

The RYL gets seasonal and limited edition drops fairly regularly. The RX50K launched with the Dew Edition (Mountain Dew partnership, soda-inspired flavours: Code Blue, Code Red, Code Green, Code Pink, Code White) and the Batch Edition.

These are genuinely different flavour profiles from anything else in the RAZ catalogue.

Price.

You’re paying roughly $3 to $5 more for the RX50K online. Given the extra 15,000 puffs in Normal Mode, the per-puff cost is actually lower on the RX50K.

Which One Should You Buy?

  • Get the RYL Classic 35K if: You’re happy with a straightforward, no-fuss device that lasts well and looks good. The RYL is the better pick if you don’t need nine wattage settings or three power modes, and the seasonal flavour drops are a draw for you – check prices
  • Get the RX50K if: You’re a heavy daily vaper, you want the most technically capable device RAZ makes, or the cost-per-puff calculation matters to you. The RX50K’s nine wattage settings and three modes make it the closest thing to a pod system in the RAZ lineup. Also the obvious pick if the Dew Edition flavours sound interesting – check prices

FAQ

Is the RX50K actually worth $5 more than the RYL 35K? On pure puffs, yes. You’re getting 15,000 extra puffs for roughly $3 to $5. The per-puff cost on the RX50K is lower. Add in the three power modes and nine wattage settings and it’s a strong upgrade.

What are the Dew Edition flavours on the RX50K? The Dew Edition launched with five soda-inspired flavours: Code Blue, Code Red, Code Green, Code Pink, and Code White. These are exclusive to the RX50K Dew Edition and aren’t available on any other RAZ model.

Does the RYL Classic 35K have any wattage control? No. The RYL is a single-mode device with no wattage adjustment. If that level of control matters to you, the RX50K is the only option in the RAZ lineup below the RX50K tier.
