Is the ALP Frontier Collection Any Good?
Yes. Frontier is a strong addition to the wider ALP lineup, particularly if you want something other than mint, wintergreen or heavily iced fruit.
The pouch is thinner and drier than standard ALP. It sits more discreetly beneath the lip and releases its flavour more gently, which may suit anyone who finds very moist pouches a little too noticeable.
My verdict: Frontier successfully adds something different to ALP’s range. Cowboy Coffee is the standout, but all three flavours have a clear audience. Pick the one that sounds most like something you would actually want to use all day.
ALP’s new Frontier Collection takes the brand in a very different direction.
Instead of adding another selection of mint-based pouches, ALP has gone with three distinctive flavours: Cowboy Coffee, Campfire Cinnamon and Sunset Mango.
You also get two new nicotine strengths, 4mg and 8mg, plus a thinner, more discreet pouch format designed to sit quietly under the lip.
I’ve been using ALP since around 2024, and it has become one of my favourite nicotine-pouch brands. Mountain Wintergreen is still my number-one wintergreen pouch. It’s moist, sweet, slightly earthy and just about perfect.
I’m also a big fan of the fruit-based ALP Drifters collection, especially when I want something brighter and sweeter.
Frontier sits somewhere else entirely.
It isn’t trying to replace the original ALP range or Drifters. Instead, it offers a slimmer pouch, more moderate flavour delivery and three profiles that aren’t widely available elsewhere.

ALP Is Already One of My Favourite Pouch Brands
Before getting into Frontier, it’s worth explaining where I’m coming from.
I’ve used ALP regularly since around 2024. In that time, it has become one of the brands I keep returning to.
The standard ALP range gets a lot right.
Its pouches are soft, moist and comfortable. The flavours come through quickly, and I rarely get the dry, powdery sensation that can make some nicotine pouches unpleasant to use.

That makes sense.
Coffee and cinnamon pouches have dedicated followings, but they’re much less common than mint, wintergreen and citrus. Mango is more familiar, although ALP has given the Frontier version a warmer, less icy profile.
The entire collection has an American West theme, right down to the weathered colours, leather-inspired presentation and cowboy branding.
It’s a good-looking range.
ALP also produced a full launch film in Utah featuring a live horse roundup, more than 20 riders and a Black Hawk helicopter.
Subtle? Not particularly.
Memorable? Absolutely.
Fortunately, ALP hasn’t relied on packaging alone. The pouches themselves introduce several changes.
A New Slimmer Pouch Format
Frontier uses a different pouch from ALP’s standard range.
The original ALP format is known for being moist, soft and relatively substantial. Frontier is thinner, flatter and drier.
ALP rates all three Frontier flavours at 3/10 for moisture. For comparison, Chilled Mint from the standard range is rated 9/10.
That gives Frontier a noticeably different feel.
The pouch sits more discreetly under the lip and is less visible when talking. It also feels lighter, making it well suited to work, travel, meetings or any situation where you don’t want an obvious pouch pressing against your lip.
The lower moisture level changes the flavour delivery too.

Cowboy Coffee Review: My Favourite of the Three
Cowboy Coffee is the flavour I was most interested in trying, and it ended up being my favourite Frontier pouch.
ALP describes it as roasted espresso with smooth, velvety sweetness.
That’s fairly accurate, although this isn’t a harsh, bitter black-coffee flavour.
The coffee base is softened with vanilla, cocoa and a slightly creamy sweetness. At times, it reminds me of mocha, sweet iced coffee or even a bowl of chocolate cereal.
That may sound odd, but it works.
A completely unsweetened coffee pouch could become bitter or tiring very quickly. Cowboy Coffee avoids that problem by leaning into the smoother, sweeter side of coffee.
It also has almost no cooling.
That makes a welcome change from the endless supply of iced and frozen flavours in the pouch market. You can use Cowboy Coffee after a meal or alongside an actual cup of coffee without getting a blast of menthol between every sip.
The flavour delivery is calmer than the standard ALP range, but that suits the profile. Coffee is the kind of flavour that can become a little heavy if it’s too concentrated.

Campfire Cinnamon combines sweet cinnamon with a warm, smooth finish.
The first thing I noticed is that it doesn’t produce the aggressive burn associated with many cinnamon pouches.
That’s a smart decision.
Traditional cinnamon flavours can be harsh. The initial tingle is enjoyable, but it can become uncomfortable during a longer session, especially if you regularly use pouches in the same position.
Campfire Cinnamon takes a softer approach.

Sunset Mango is the fruit option in the Frontier lineup.
ALP already makes Mango Freeze through its Drifters range, but Sunset Mango takes the flavour in a different direction.
Mango Freeze is bright, sweet and heavily cooled. Sunset Mango removes most of that ice and lets the fruit do the work.
The result is a softer and warmer mango profile.
It’s sweet without tasting overly artificial, and there’s just enough cooling to keep it fresh. You don’t get the intense frozen sensation that normally comes with mango-flavoured nicotine products.
