TL;DR: What’s The Best Mighty+ Vape Alternative?
The best alternative to the Mighty+ right now is the AirVape Legacy Pro 2. Why? Simple: it costs less, packs in way more features, and delivers the kind of hybrid convection performance you’d normally expect from a much more expensive vape.
While the Mighty+ remains the GOAT, the Legacy Pro 2 manages to match and in some areas beat its performance while coming in at a far more reasonable price point.
Other rock-solid (but similarly expensive) options include:
- Utillian 850: Best for heavy hits and desktop-level power.
- Crafty+: Compact version of the Mighty+ with “Super Boost” features and much lower price.
- Zeus Arc G4: This compact, good-looking dry herb vape blew me away when I tested it earlier this year. Epic stuff.
The Mighty+ has been my go-to dry herb vaporizer for as long as I can remember. I bought it as soon as it came out, and prior to that I was using the OG Mighty.
But the Mighty+ is not a cheap dry herb vaporizer. Made by Storz & Bickel, it is one of the more expensive options on the market. Of course, it is worth the investment if you’re a lifer in this type of thing like me.
But for those on a tighter budget or just getting started, you’ll be far better off with something a little more approachable, price-wise. All of the options listed below are cheaper than the Mighty+ and some of them are almost as good.
The Best PAX Vape Alternatives
Dry Herb Vapes That Are Almost As Good As The Mighty+
The Mighty+ is one of the best portable vaporizers ever made. Problem is, it also costs a small fortune. By the time you’ve bought the vape itself and a few accessories, you’re staring down a bill that’s way more than most people actually want to spend on a dry herb vaporizer.
And that’s where these alternatives come in.
The good news? You no longer need to spend Mighty+ money to get excellent vapor quality, strong battery life, and proper convection-style performance.
There are now plenty of options that deliver the things that actually matter (great flavor, smooth airflow, fast heat-up times, and efficient extraction) without wrecking your bank balance.
Some of these vapes are also far more beginner-friendly too. Smaller designs, simpler controls, less maintenance, and lower price tags make them much easier to live with if you’re just getting started or upgrading from something cheaper.
The Mighty+ is still fantastic. Nobody’s denying that. But for plenty of people, it’s complete overkill. These are the vaporizers that give you 90% of the experience for a fraction of the price and in some cases, they’re actually more enjoyable to use day to day.
AirVape Legacy Pro 2: The Flavor King For Less Than $200

The AirVape Legacy Pro 2 is the best move if you’re tired of your weed tasting like burnt popcorn halfway through a bowl. Unlike the PAX, this device uses a hybrid convection system.
This means hot air does the heavy lifting, not just a hot metal bowl.
When you use the Legacy Pro 2, you get bright, crisp terpene profiles. You also get a much more even roast, so you won’t find green bits left in the middle of your herb when you’re done. Plus, it ditches the annoying proprietary chargers for standard USB-C.
- Who it’s for: People who care about flavor and want a “grown-up” portable that stays under the $200 mark.
Utillian 850: For the Cloud Chasers

If you feel like you have to work too hard to get a decent cloud out of a PAX, the Utillian 850 is your answer. While the PAX is built for stealth, the 850 is built for power. It features a heavy convection lean that rips through material much faster.
This device is perfect for group sessions where you don’t want to wait for a conduction oven to slowly cook your herb. It delivers thick, dense hits right away. It has a slightly bigger footprint than a PAX, but the massive increase in vapor production makes that extra half-inch in your pocket worth it.
- Who it’s for: Anyone who finds PAX hits too thin and wants a portable that hits as hard as a desktop unit.
Crafty+: Pro Power in Your Pocket

Think of the Crafty+ as the Mighty’s smaller brother. It gives you that same high-end hybrid heating but in a size that actually fits in a jeans pocket. It is a massive upgrade over the PAX because it produces much denser vapor and tastes way better.
One of the biggest wins here is the USB-C charging. You can finally stop carrying around that specific PAX cradle and just use the same cable you use for your phone. It’s more durable, hits harder, and is way more efficient with your flower.
Who it’s for: PAX owners who want a significant boost in performance and flavor but still want a device they can carry around easily.
