A College Kid’s Guide to Vaping: How To Buy Vape Gear For Less

GAIA RDTAPin

If you’re on a budget, like me, then you’ll no doubt be keen to know some tactics on how to buy vape gear for less…

Before we get into anything, I’m proud to introduce myself as the newest member of the VapeBeat team! My name is Drew and I’m a Manufacturing Engineering student in upstate New York. It’s only a few hours or so from where VapeBeat started 😉 But seriously, it’s amazing how far the blog has come, and I am humbled to be part of the team!

Anyways, let’s get to what you really want to read about. For those of us looking to further our education, it can be difficult to afford high-quality vaping supplies on a regular basis. And when those new mods, tanks, and RDA’s come out? Forget it! We can spend days trying to justify buying them. And let’s face it: we usually buy them…

BUT what if you were able to find all the products you need (or want, whatever) at 50-70% of the cost of a vape shop? I was pretty stoked when I figured out how low the prices really go on the internet!

The HIGHEST priced sites are just about equivalent in price to a brick and mortar, if not lower. Sure, you wait a little while for shipping, but if you order before you run out it’s no problem at all.

Almost every single box mod I have purchased was through eBay, and from a multitude of sellers at that. My point here is that I’ve yet to have a bad transaction from any vape supplier on eBay in over 2 years.

The shipping is always fast, there are more suppliers than you would expect and these sellers are TERRIFIED of bad feedback.

The only time I received a poor-quality product, I got an RDA which had terrible tolerance on the deck and cap. The top cap would pop off in my pocket, so I messaged the seller and they just sent me a new one!

They didn’t even ask for the other one back!

So aside from waiting for shipping, the only issue I used to have with ordering online was the potential to screw up the items I selected. And yes, it does happen once in a while with big time suppliers who move lots of inventory on a daily basis.

But they also will do their best to make things right in my experience.

I would just like to take a second to talk about EightVape.com in reference to the above issue. Oh, and by the way, we aren’t even affiliated with them at all, I’m just sharing a personal experience from a random site I tried out recently.

I ordered a SMOK Alien mod from them, but they got the order mixed up and ended up sending me the wrong thing. I wasn’t happy, so pressed on with reaching out to their customer service department.

After a number of phone calls, I discovered that the mod I initially wanted was no longer in stock. Bummer!

John (the wonderful customer service associate who dealt with me through this frustrating process which lasted over two weeks), feeling my pain, decided to just let me pick another kit for my troubles, so I went for the GX350 with a TFV8, which was pretty awesome.

The excellent customer service provided to me made up for the mistakes that were made and then some!

All in all, I have almost completely avoided buying from brick and mortar stores. I mean c’mon, the markup is 200% or more sometimes! I don’t want to pay double the price for something when I can get it online for considerably less.

So what are the best places to buy cheap vape gear? There’s quite a few as it goes but my favorites are listed below (in no particular order):

I’ll be back soon with something new, keep it real you guys!
