I put together a quick-start guide for the PuffCo Pivot, including all the basic setup stuff plus some more advanced / nuanced tips and tricks for maximizing its performance.

How To Setup PuffCo Pivot
⚡ Initial Setup
- 📦 Unbox the Pivot and check for all parts: Base, Chamber, Mouthpiece, Cotton Swabs, Loading Tool, USB-C Cable.
- ⏺️ Charge fully before first use:
- Use the USB-C cable to connect to the base and a charger.
- The light bar will show solid green after about 45 minutes when fully charged.
🔋 Charging the Device
- 🔌 Connect the USB-C cable to the base.
- ✅ Battery Check: Triple-click the button to check the battery:
- 🟢 Green: Full charge
- 🟠 Orange: Half charge
- 🔴 Red: Low battery
🛠️ Loading the Chamber
- 🤬 Access the Chamber by opening the mouthpiece.
- 🦄 Load a small dab of concentrate using the included tool. Avoid overpacking to prevent leaks.
- 🔒 Secure the Mouthpiece after loading.
🔥 Temperature Settings
- 🌡️ The Pivot has four heat levels:
- 🟢 Blue (Low): Max flavor, minimal vapor
- 🟠 Green (Medium): Balance of flavor and vapor
- 🔴 Red (High): Higher vapor production
- ⚪ White (Peak): Maximum vapor
- 🔢 To Set Temperature: Single-click the button to cycle through heat settings.
✨ Using the Pivot
- 🔐 Turn On: Hold the button for 3–5 seconds.
- 🌡️ Select Temperature: Use single clicks to pick a heat level.
- 💥 Start Dab Session: Double-click the button. The device will vibrate and flash when ready.
- 🎯 Inhale: Draw from the mouthpiece. Each session lasts about 15 seconds, indicated by the light bar.
🎉 Boost Mode
- ⚡ Activate During Session: Double-click to extend heating and increase temperature.
- ➡️ Repeat up to 4 times for consecutive boosts.
💡 Advanced Features
- ✅ Battery Check: Triple-click.
- 🎉 Disco Mode: Rapidly click 6 times for a fun light display.
- 🔒 Lock/Unlock: Hold the power button for 3–5 seconds.
🧜 Cleaning and Maintenance
- 🥤 After Each Use: Wipe bowl and mouthpiece with a cotton swab while still warm.
- 🦯 Deeper Cleaning:
- 🛠️ Chamber: Remove and soak in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol for 20–30 minutes; let dry completely.
- ♻️ Base: Wipe connections with an alcohol-dipped swab.
- 🦋 Mouthpiece: Soak, rinse, and dry as needed.
❓ Troubleshooting Tips
- 🔌 Won’t Power On: Charge for at least 30 minutes, and if needed, use a different USB-C cable.
- 🛠️ Red-White Flashing (Connection Error): Clean the chamber and base connections with an alcohol swab.
- 🛡 White Flash on Use: Ensure the chamber is securely attached and connections are clean.
🔥 Usage Tips
- 💡 Start Low: Begin with lower temperatures and adjust to taste.
- ♻️ Keep It Clean: Regular cleaning improves performance.
- 🏰 Pre-Load Chambers: Use the quick-release feature to switch concentrates easily.
- ⚡ Boost Mode: Use it for more powerful hits.
- 💥 Experiment: Try different concentrates to find your perfect setup.
