Quick Verdict…
The Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 isn’t just the best Vaporesso vape to buy right now, I’d say it is the best pod vape to buy right now.
For flavor, design, and coil longevity, nothing else comes even remotely close.
It has a massive new battery, a new 0.4ohm COREX 3.0 pod, a flashy, new magic screen that disappears into the chassis, and the new AFC is freaking outstanding for dialing in different types of draws.
This is the ONLY pod you’ll need to buy this year. Period.
I don’t usually get excited about new vape products these days. But when I heard the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 was coming, I started to feel all giddy and warm inside.
Vaporesso’s XROS series of pod vapes, unless you’ve been asleep under a rock since 2020, are essentially kings of the pod space.
The pods are incredible, lasting months between changes, the flavor is market-leading, and they’re reliable AF.
And with each new addition, they just keep getting better.
Case in point: the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 brings a slew of updates to the party that make it a must-have for any XROS fans out there.
I’ve been using mine for a couple of weeks now and I’m ready to call it: this is the best damn pod vape on the market bar none.
Read on to find out why…
What’s New With the XROS Pro 2?

If you’ve used the original XROS Pro, the new one’s going to feel super familiar just with a few nice upgrades.
It looks and feels much the same but it has one, new party trick that I definitely didn’t know I needed until I saw it: a disappearing screen.
It’s made from “aerospace alloy” and when you activate the screen, it just kind of appears out of nowhere on the front, and when you don’t need it anymore, it disappears back into the chassis.

This keeps the front of the device nice and clean and, because it likely uses way less power, it is probably better for battery life too. Excellent design choice, Vaporesso.
The USB port remains in the same place as before (on the bottom) and it feels much the same in the hand. Inside, though, there are myriad changes that improve on both its predecessor (the OG XROS Pro) and the current Vaporesso XROS 5.
Here’s the core rundown:
- Battery: 2000mAh (yes, two thousand)
- Power Range: 5W to 30W, adjustable in 0.5W increments
- Display: Bright 0.96” TFT screen
- Build: Aerospace-grade alloy, sleek AF
- Airflow: Adjustable slider
- Pod Capacity: 3mL
- Operation: Draw-activated + button mode
- Charging: USB-C (fast and easy)
- Pod System: Top-fill, magnetic, fully XROS compatible
The big takeaways from the spec sheet are the battery (2000mAh is a big upgrade) and the adjustable airflow slider which, in practice, works great. It stays put, it doesn’t readjust itself, and it actually makes a difference to how the XROS Pro 2 vapes.
I knew it’d be great, I just didn’t expect to see so many quality of life performance upgrades. I’m also glad they didn’t mess with the design too much and still managed to cram such a massive battery inside it.
Battery Life: It Nearly Lasts All Day
Battery life on pods isn’t anywhere near as bad as it used to be. But most pod vapes these days will still need a top-up mid-way through the day.
That’s just par for the course, and most people are fine with that. But with the XROS Pro 2, we’re getting devilishly close to a proper all-day pod vape.
The 2000mAh battery inside it is truly massive for a pod of this stature. I’ve consistently been getting through to 8pm and 9pm at night on a single charge.
With my XROS 5, I’ll get to around 5pm if I’m lucky before a top-up is required. That extra battery power makes a big difference inside the XROS Pro 2 especially if you leave it in normal mode or Eco Mode.
I just tend to run it in Normal Mode.
Adjustable Wattage: Finally, Some Real Control

With most pod systems, you’re stuck with whatever wattage the chip decides is best. And that’s been the case with most Vaporesso XROS pod vapes too. But with the XROS Pro 2, you get full control: 5W to 30W in half-watt steps.
I didn’t think I’d care too much about this feature. But I actually ended up using it all the time. It lets you really experiment with what the pods are capable of handling / doing.
For instance, it means you can:
- Crank it up with a 0.4ohm pod for big clouds
- Dial it down for nic salts and tighter MTL hits
- Actually tailor your vape to how you feel that day
- And when you’re in a pinch, you can use the adjustable wattage to save power without using Eco Mode.
Airflow Slider: Tiny Switch, Big Difference
On nearly all pod vapes I own (getting on for over 60 now, and that’s just for the last couple of years), I can count on one hand the ones that actually have decent airflow controls.
Most of the time, I just leave the AFC well alone. Most of the time it does nothing except make the vapor too hot and comfortable.
The XROS Pro 2’s is actually great, though, and with a few quick adjustments and tests I was able to get what I think is the perfect MTL draw from this system.
The MTL is good out of the box, it’s an XROS vape, after all, but with just a few, simple tweaks to the AFC I was able to make it even better.
And that’s what a good AFC should be all about.
Pods: All the Classics, Plus a 0.4ohm Option

Like all XROS pod vapes, the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 is compatible with all current XROS pods, including the new COREX 3.0 ones (big fan of those, by the way).
That means, when it comes to pod choices you have the following to play with:
- 0.4ohm
- 0.6ohm
- 0.7ohm
- 0.8ohm
- 1.0ohm
- 1.2ohm
Me? I like the 0.6ohm the best, and that’s been the case since the XROS 3 series many moons ago. The new 0.4ohm is great for pushing up around 30w too, and they’ll all do RDTL and MTL styles, thanks to the new AFC.
I always say this but if you’re new to XROS pod vapes, here it is again: Vaporesso’s COREX pods are the best on the market by a considerable margin. They consistently last anywhere from 5-8 weeks between changes.
If you hate swapping coils every week or so and you want the best possible, crisp flavor, drop whatever you’re using and come on over to the good ship Vaporesso.
And while you’re at it, get the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2; it is literally the best pod vape I have ever tested.
