The Vaporesso VIBE series of pods is getting pretty popular now, popping up on best lists and securing prominent shelf-space in vape stores.
But here’s the thing; in a side-by-side comparison and in daily usage, the VIBE is not as good as the Vaporesso XROS 5 or the XROS Pro.
If you’re looking at the VIBE, it’s a fine system. But the XROS 5 has it whipped in several, key areas. The most important of which is flavour, battery life, and overall performance in general.
That’s my TL;DR; get the Vaporesso XROS 5: it’s better in literally every measurable metric, save for its pod’s juice capacity (not that it matters much either way in the UK).
If you’d like to know more about each, their pros and cons, and nuances, read on for my full comparison.
Vaporesso VIBE Testing & Thoughts

The Vaporesso VIBE is a bit of a different beast to the XROS 5. The build quality isn’t as premium but it does have a few tricks up its sleeve, the most notable of which being its 4.5ml pod capacity.
It runs Vaporesso’s AXON chip and has a decent-sized battery (1100mAh), though this is smaller than what you get on both the XROS 5, XROS 5 and XROS 4 Nano.
On paper, it looks solid, though. I’ll admit that:
- 4.5 mL pod capacity
- 1100 mAh battery
- Dual power modes (ECO & PWR)
- USB-C fast charging with charge-time display
- 0.54-inch TFT screen
- AXON chipset
- Draw-activated firing
If You Want The Best MTL Draw, Here’s What To Get

It’s aimed squarely at MTL vapers and offers smart auto-adjusting airflow depending on which power mode you select. It’s also rocking dual-mesh coils inside its proprietary pods — which sounds cool on paper.
But here’s the thing:
- The pods are annoying to remove because of their curved design
- The draw is looser than the XROS 5 (subjective, but worth noting) but I’m an MTL freak, and this was a major turn off for me.
- Flavor is just… okay. Not bad, but nowhere near what you get from COREX coils in the XROS line
In short, if you’re after top-tier flavor, premium design, and a rock-solid MTL draw, the VIBE falls well short of what you get on the XROS 5 and XROS Pro.
What To Get Instead?

Simple, really. If you’re after a new pod vape and you want something that is simple to use, packs in market-leading flavour and coil lifespan, you get the XROS 5 or the XROS Pro.
Both are excellent. Me? I’d probably go with the Vaporesso XROS 5; it’s newer and is basically the Pro repackaged with a few design tweaks.
Here’s a quick breakdown of how the VIBE stacks up against the XROS 5 and XROS Pro:
Feature | VIBE | XROS 5 | XROS Pro |
---|---|---|---|
Battery | 1100 mAh | 1500 mAh | 1200 mAh |
Charging | USB-C fast | 3A ultra-fast | Fast USB-C |
Pod Tech | Dual-mesh | COREX 3.0 | COREX 3.0 |
Power Modes | ECO & PWR | Single mode | ECO, Normal, Power |
Draw | Loose MTL | Tight/Adjustable | Tight/Adjustable |
Flavor | Mild | Excellent | Excellent (better with 0.6Ω pod) |
Build Quality | Lightweight plastic | Premium metal | Even better build + lock switch |
Display | 0.54” TFT | Small LED | Full display with wattage control |
Ease of Use | Moderate | Very easy | Super intuitive |
While the VIBE tries to be flexible with its dual modes, the XROS 5 and Pro just do everything better — especially flavor and battery performance.
Why You Should Just Get The XROS 5 or Pro

I’ve been using the XROS Pro for nearly a year now, and I still haven’t found anything I like better for MTL vaping (save for the XROS 5 which is basically the same deal, just more compact and with a few new additions).
The main thing both XROS vapes do exceptionally well is flavour; I test a lot of vapes, pods and disposables, and I always come back to my XROS pod vapes. And the reason is simple: the MTL draw and the flavour.
Chuck in pods that last weeks and weeks between changes, that don’t drop any flavour until right at the last minute, and I honestly don’t see why anyone would use anything else right now.
Even the XROS 5, which is slightly smaller than the Pro, wipes the floor with the VIBE when it comes to build quality, coil performance, and overall experience.
The bottom line here is simple, get the XROS 5 or the XROS Pro. The VIBE is a pass for me. It’s not terrible but it isn’t anywhere near as good as Vaporesso’s XROS line, so why bother even considering it in the first place?
Factoids
Vaporesso’s COREX coil tech is one of the main reasons the XROS line kills it. It delivers more consistent flavor over time, and it’s been designed specifically to handle high-nicotine salt juices without gunking up.
Wrapping Up…
If you’re trying to decide between the VIBE and the XROS 5/Pro, there’s basically only one right answer here: ditch the VIBE and go with the XROS 5 or XROS Pro.
Again, there’s very little to separate the XROS 5 and the XROS Pro. The only real distinction is that the XROS 5 is the latest model and has a few, new design tweaks.
Other than that, both are excellent pod vapes. I own and use both of them and I can see them being my main, daily drivers for the foreseeable
