What our editor thinks

I’ve never had any issues with any of my PuffCo rigs. But I do prefer the simplicity of how the Dr Dabber Switch 2 works. Both rigs have onboard buttons for setting up and controlling sessions, and both use apps for more advanced settings. But the Switch 2’s design, it uses fewer consumable parts (like the atomizer), and its induction heating make it a lot more resilient to the passing of time. And that, for me, makes it a better overall choice.

Overview

What you need to know

The omni-directional induction heating and 360-degree directional carb cap work together to create thick, heavy clouds with clean flavor and fast, consistent vapor production. You get precise temperature control, multiple modes, a redesigned body, and inserts with triple the space of old-school atomizers.

Pros, cons and standout features

What stood out in testing

✅ Pros Unmatched Vapor Production: Huge, flavorful clouds even at lower temps. No Atomizers To Replace: Induction tech means no coils to burn out or swap. Dual-Use Power: Handles both concentrates and flower with ease. Precision Heat Control: Six customizable modes with fast 10-second heat-up time. Premium Build: Solid, high-end feel with magnetic seals and glass upgrades. Use While Charging: True pass-through power for nonstop sessions. Massive Insert Space: 300% larger loading area improves airflow and flavor. ⚠️ Things To Keep In Mind Size & Weight: Larger than most e-rigs, not ideal for stealthy travel. Learning Curve: Induction timing and settings take a session or two to master. Paint Sensitivity: Some users report finish wear from heavy ISO cleaning. Price Point: It’s an investment, but the performance easily justifies the cost. App Quirks: The companion app can be buggy, though the rig works perfectly without it.
