Is The Tasteflex Ultralock 50K Any Good?
The disposable vape market is packed to the brim with gimmicks, but every now and then, something genuinely interesting comes along.
The Tasteflex Ultralock 50K is exactly that: a disposable vape that doesn’t just rely on high puff counts or slick packaging.
Instead, it brings something new to the table: a freakin’ motorized auto-wicking system.
It’s not the sleekest device out there, but if you’re in the market for a high-capacity, leak-resistant vape with solid flavor and longevity, this one’s worth a closer look.
What Is It?

The Tasteflex Ultralock 50K is a high-puff disposable vape rated for up to 50,000 puffs in its Smooth mode.
That drops to about 25,000 if you’re running it mostly in Boost mode which gives you a stronger hit and denser vapor.
It’s built for MTL vaping and features a clear tank, dual power modes, and a 900mAh rechargeable battery (which is about par for the course, size-wise, these days).
You also get a pretty unique feature: a tiny internal motor that auto-feeds e-liquid to the coil. You can actually hear and feel it working when you vape.
Performance and Experience
This thing delivers solid flavor; it’s clean, consistent, and free from that muted, plasticky taste you sometimes get with lower-end disposables.
Boost mode gives you a nice warm draw and thick vapor, while Smooth mode dials things back to save battery and e-liquid.
The standout feature, though, is the auto-wicking system. It’s not just a gimmick. It actually works. Reviewers noted fewer dry hits, even when the battery was nearly dead.
The way it keeps the coil isolated from the juice when you’re not using it also seems to prevent leaking. Over multiple weeks of use, some testers reported zero leaks.
As for airflow, it’s a mixed bag.
There is some adjustability, but don’t expect fine-tuning. It swings between a very airy MTL draw to something closer to a loose MTL.
If you like your draw tight—like an old-school cigarette pull—this probably won’t cut it. My advise? Go for the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2; it’s refillable too, so it’ll save you a bunch of cash.
Charging is another sore spot. The battery’s 900mAh capacity isn’t bad, but with only 1A charging, it takes longer than you’d expect to top it back up.
If you chain vape, be ready to plug in more often than you’d like.
Flavors
Here’s how the Tasteflex Ultralock 50K flavors shook out for me after testing a handful:
- The berry blends—especially the mixed berry and blueberry ice—are easily the standouts. They’re clean, punchy, and deliver that sweet-icy hit without tasting like you’re sucking on a melted Slurpee. If you like fruity vapes with a cold edge, these are solid.
- Mint and menthol-heavy options also land well. They’re strong enough to give you that cooling hit but smooth enough not to feel overpowering. Good all-day vapes if you’re into that fresh, icy vibe.
- The coffee flavor was a surprise; it wasn’t bad, just… weird. Kind of like a sweetened espresso with a cooling aftertaste. Not my thing personally, but I could see someone who likes dessert vapes giving it a go.
- Watermelon Lime falls into the “mid” category. It’s not sweet, which is refreshing, but it’s also kind of flat. It tries to do something different—and I respect that—but it didn’t hit the same way as the berry or mint flavors.
- As for the tobacco option, it’s fine. Nothing offensive, but also nothing memorable. If you’re switching from cigarettes and just want something basic, it’ll do the job.
So if you’re picking a first flavor, I’d start with the berry mixes or mint. Skip Watermelon Lime unless you like less-sweet vapes with a twist, and treat the coffee and tobacco as niche picks.
Battery and Longevity
When I stuck to Smooth mode, I easily got 2 to 3 full days of use before a top-up was required, and I vape pretty consistently throughout the day.
If you’re more of a casual user, you could probably stretch that to 4-5 days (possibly).
Switching to Boost mode cut that down to about 1-2 days, maybe three days tops, but the flavor and vapor production definitely ramped up.
It felt more like using a pod system than a disposable, which was a nice change.
What really makes this thing more user-friendly than most is the clear tank. I could see exactly how much e-liquid I had left at any point, no guesswork or dry hits.
It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference, especially compared to other disposables where you’re flying blind.
Final Verdict

The Tasteflex Ultralock 50K actually tries something different, and mostly pulls it off.
The motorized auto-wicking sounds like a gimmick, but it improves the experience in a real, noticeable way. No dry hits, no leaking, and a smooth vape every time.
But it’s not perfect. The airflow is limited, recharging is slow, and there’s only one nicotine strength: 5%. That’ll be too much for some users, especially if you’re used to 3% or lower.
Still, if you’re a heavy vaper looking for a longer-lasting disposable with solid flavor and fewer issues, I’d definitely give this one a whirl even if it’s just to check out that motor-driven component inside it.
