If you’re after the best e-cig you have A LOT of options to choose from. Right now, there are plenty of candidates for best overall e cigarette but our current picks (based on hundreds of tests) are as follows:
Best E Cigs Like JUUL
What Type of E Cig Is Best For You?
This is a BIG question, and one you need an answer to before you pull the trigger on any e cig purchase.
Basically, you need to be able to answer the following questions:
- Do you want an All-In-One Device?
- Do you want the e cig to be refillable or run pods?
- Is battery life important to you?
- How about the price? Do you have a budget?
Once you know the answers to all of these you’re going to find it a lot easier to pick an e cig from the two tables at the beginning of this article.
Box Mods or Pod Mods?
E cigs like the JUUL are commonly referred to as pod mods. Why? Simple: they run on things called pods which are filled with E Juice.
JUUL is a closed system, meaning you CANNOT refill it. This sucks and it is also why I haven’t included it in our list of best e-cigs like JUUL.
Refillable pod mods are 100% better, loads cheaper to run, and they all have better battery life than JUUL.
A box mod is a completely different deal. These vaping devices come in two parts (a mod and a tank) and run on removable 18650 batteries.
You can get ones that run on internal batteries like the VooPoo DRAG Mini, but devices like this are the exception to the rule.
What E Cig Is Most Like A Cigarette?
Simple: one that features an MTL draw (mouth-to-lung).
Fortunately, there are plenty of options for this style of e-cig in both of the tables at the top.
For box mod kits you are best off with the Innokin KROMA-A kit; it is easily one of the best MTL e-cig kits on the planet right now.
For pod mod e cigs, all of the devices listed in our best e-cig table all feature MTL draw, so they’re all very similar to an actual cigarette with respect to the inhale and hit (especially if you run Nic Salts E Juice).
What About Cheap E Cigs?
Plenty of sites and blogs, like WIRED, for instance, are peddling super-crappy e cig devices to people. WIRED is especially bad because it has such a large readership and it should technically know better – or hire someone that does!
Anything that is designed to look like an actual cigarette should be 100% avoided.
These types of e cig are terrible, provide awful vapor quality, and are definitely not worth your time or money.
If you’re a beginner, and you’re on a budget, check the budget options in both of the tables at the top of this article – we have included options for all budgets, including those that don’t mind spending a lot!
When it comes to e cigs, the most important thing you need to have is quality – if this isn’t there, you’re going to have a bad time and quickly revert back to bad habits. And no one wants this.
So… make sure you get yourself a solid e cig, use the tables at the top, and that will ensure you’re successful with your switch from smoking to vaping.
